FOTL Question

The four of us (myself, DW, DD8 and DS6) are going to be at US/IOA on Sunday 12/11 and Monday 12/12. We've never been to US/IOA before but read about the FOTL passes if you stay on site. We are not staying on site (staying at the Nick Hotel) but I read that you can purchase FOTL passes. How much are these passes for two days and is he charge different for adults vs. children? Do these passes give the same FOTL priviledges as Universal resort guests? Will we need FOTL passes during the time we are going (mid-December) since I believe the parks may not be as crowded? I know Disney slows down a little during this time (which is the reason why we go in mid-December). Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

it's not fotl passes that you are buying but express pass plus.

they are good for each ride one time, also includes one time only for attractions.
prices vary by season and dates. as low as $15 a person , up to $25 for a high.

fotl is only for the guests at the 3 on site hotels.

now, i have to reread your question to see what part of it i missed on answering.

macraven is correct in that US/IOA no longer has a true FOTL pass, either for purchase or hotel guests. The Express Pass system does allow you to cut ahead to a much smaller linethough. This is very similiar to WDW's fast pass system.

Hotel guests use their room cards as passes.

Regular park guests may either use the free passes issued at the ticketing machines of the major rides. Or they may purchase an Express Pass good for the entire park. (I think it may be only good for one ride each but I'm not sure.)

As to the time of year you are going, I don't think you will need to purchase Express Passes. Sunday will be busier because of the weekend but I think Monday will be walk-on for most attractions.

If I'm wrong, you could always purchase the Express Pass while your in the park. Play it by ear.

HTH, Steve

We have brought Express pass plus tickets on-line for $15 (print at home) Same price for adults and kids, but we intend on doing all attractions, so I think they are worth it.
I think they will more more expensive to buy in the park on the day because we are going in peak season. These passes give you FOTL for most attractions ONCE only. This is different to hotel guests who have unlimited FOTL priviledges.
