Do you prefer the current Xenforo forum software, or do you miss the previous vBulletin? Personally, I'm Xenforo all the way!

vBulletin is archaic. I visit another site that just switched from vBullentin to I assume Xenforo. It is like they finally stepped out of the 90’s and I to the 20’s.

I remember a college sports forum that I remember from the late 90s that's still operating with the same HTML based forum software. It was from a time when a good many were still using dial-up and it was pretty efficient. It has almost no lag with modern internet connections, and I assume they just installed it on a a newer server.

Others in a network of affiliated sites went to commercial operators with more complicated forum software. But there is something to be said for the simplicity when all one really wants is texts, links, and photos.

There are a number of really good suites out there... Vanilla, vBulletin, XenForo, phpBB, Invision... perhaps even MyBB?
