This may seem strange to some. I can not figure out what some of the abbreviations are that people use in these forums. It drives me crazy sometimes. I know I am not the only one out there.
Is there a list posted, or can someone posta list of abbrevaitions? Some abbreviations are easy to figure out and others, while may be simple to other members, seem to hold my focus on the abbreviation instead of what the author is saying (example "DH", "DS", or "DD").
I guess I am showing my age or ignorance but I really want to know what these abbreviations are. :rotfl2:

Schewy you can always ask. You wouldn't be the first:) Welcome to the Dis:earsboy:

Thanks for the replies. I have been a member of Disboards for 4 years now. I just don't post much, but I read them just about everyday (the DVC parts anyway). Thanks for the links.

The lists provided will help with the ones for the resorts and other locations, on property.

DH, DS and DD are Darling or dear Husband, son and daughter, personal opinion of course as to whether they are darlings or not. :goodvibes

Can also be "Disney" if there are times you don't consider them dear or darling....... :rotfl:

The second link that erionm supplied even shows the Dear/Darling/Disney abbreviations. It's pretty comprehensive, more so than the one at the top of each forum. My DH was pretty confused by all of the nonDisney abbreviations, while I sometimes get lost with the Disney ones. E.g. at BLT many people see Wishes at TOTW (or sometimes it's called TOW). Translated "at Bay Lake Tower many people see the Magic Kingdom's Wishes fireworks on the observation deck of the Top of the World Lounge." Definitely less key strokes wouldn't say? Reading these threads will soon get you to think in these abbreviations. Good Luck and welcome to DISboards!
