Fortune Cookie Help??

Alright, we had Panda Express for lunch and i got this WIERD fortune. WHAT does it mean? ANYONE??

I have not Idea but I wish they would use fortunes again instead of these stupid sayings. I haven't gotten a real fortune in years . I don't believe the fortunes are going to come true or anything but it would be nice to get one all the same.

I think it means having a bit of what you want is better than wanting something that is completely out of reach....but I could be off...it's been known to happen.

I had that kind of take on it also. Something like-it's better to have a little bit of something than to never have it at all. Almost like-it's better to love and lost than not love at all.

Oh the Chinese restaurant we go to still has real fortunes in their cookie. Like you will get a phone call.. come into money.. etc..

Yeah, I took it to mean that having a small part of something you want is better than having nothing at all.

A little off-topic:
When I was in high school we used to add "in bed" to the end of a fortune...it almost ALWAYS ended up being funny!

Like "You will meet a very interesting person"..."IN BED"

Or, "You will have a big adventure"..."IN BED"...

You see where it could go given the right fortune...

But those new ones aren't always as much fun.

This reminded me of a fortune I got about a month ago. DH had just finished chemo and radiation and after a year and a half was given the go-ahead by his Dr. to return to work only to find they had replaced his position (without telling us) anyway ~ I was having a bad day. My fortune cookie, NO LIE said... "oops wrong cookie" I can laugh about it now, but at the time it kinda freaked me out

As somebody who eats and Panda Express quite often I can tell you they do have the typical fortunes most of the time. In fact I've never got one like the OP's.

I have a couple fortune cookies, so I decided to have one and here's my fortune, "Great thoughts come from the heart" I suppose I'd have to agree with that one and it's rather timely, even though I'm rather heavy-hearted today. Maybe I should eat the other cookie, too.

Oh, I just opened up the second fortune cookie and that fortune says that "God will give you everything that you want". My fortune obviously did not read my DIS thread on grieving today. I did see a third fortune cookie in the drawer, but I'm full right now...maybe I'll eat that one later. Hmmm, this is kind of fun.

alright i had to find DHs pants he had on on saturday in the laundry pile (ewwww) and i dug his fortune out of the pocket! he got a good one:
