Fort Wilderness from MK...Hoop Dee Doo

If we travel from MK to FW for HDDR, do I take the bus? If I think we might not return to MK, should I park at FW in the morning, take the bus to MK and bus back to FW? I know driving to MK is not something I relish.

We usually take Disney transportation (bus) to MK and then the boat to FW - which let you off right near the Hoop De Doo. Since we go to the late show and it's usually when the parks aren't open late, there have always been Disney busses outside of Pioneer Hall to take us back to our resort.

We just did this today. If you are going to one of the last two shows (6:15 or 8) they have busses that will take you back to the resorts. We were at ak all day, so we bussed to ak in the morning, took the MK bus from ak, and then took the ferry over. After the show, the busses took us back to our resort. We were back to our resort by 8:30 after the 6:15 show.

if you drive to the Fort plan on taking internal bus to other end of campground to catch boat to MK and boat back to show and after show bus back to your car at other end
