Last April we were traveling with our six month old infant. The best advice that I received on here was to have the formula shipped directly from enfamil to the front desk of our hotel. There were 48 individual bottles that did not need to be heated or refridgerated. I could stick them in my backpack to take to the parks and we were set for the day. We did not need a fridge in our room. I used 45 bottles during our 6 days at the parks and had 3 bottles left for the morning 7th day plane ride home. It worked out perfectly and I did not have to worry about bringing them in my suitcase. I hope that this tip can help somebody else. We will be returning this April with our daughter who will then be 18 months, a whole different experience.

Thanks for the advice...Im still swithering wether to pack. ship or just stop at wallmart when I get there and buy it...I use similac and I believe you can buy it ready made also although I have been using the formula. Did you find it took less room with the remade bottles? The stuff is so dang heavy. I was wondering also how you washed the baby bottles on your hotel? My other concern is will a pack and play fit into a value resort room? There will be 4 of us and Im worried it will be a tight fit. I would have taken a suite but my 6yr old wont sleep in a seperate room from us on vacation and we all wont fit in a double bed!!! I think the baby (9mnths) will have the most luggage!!!!!

We had a pack and play in our POP room last year for our DD and we had a fair amount of room. It wasnt too bad. As far as her bottles, we pack a bottle brush I buy at the dollar tree (and toss it when we leave) and take a small bottle of dish soap and wash out the bottles at the bathroom sink. We used the powdered formula when she was drinking it. The ready to feed bottles were just too expensive for us.

My daughter had never had powdered formula so I did not have much of a choice. The ready made individual bottles were great. They are so small they didn't take up much room at all. I did the best I could to wash the bottles out with a little thing of dish soap and a brush. I took a couple of bottles with me each day and could clean them at nursing areas if necessary. It was great having them shipped from the company because they shipped for free. I couldn't even imagine having to bring that many glass bottles in my suit case, especially now with the airlines charging so much extra for luggage. When we go this year I am definetely sending a package ahead of time with diapers, wipes, swim diapers, etc, things that take up alot of room in the suitcase and I don't need to return with. I don't know how well a pack and play will fit in the rooms. This year we will need a crib and I'm concerned about where they will put it. Last year at 6 months my daughter loved to sleep in her car seat and it worked great. She would fall asleep wherever we were at about 8 and sleep for the rest of the night. I could barely fit the stroller in the room last year without having to move furniture, collapse it each time and put it behind the door. I can't imagine where they put these cribs. Hope I was of some help, definetly consider sending some stuff ahead of time if you are flying.

Last year we stayed a POP this year we are staying at Sports. I did hear that there is a little more room between the door and the beds as Sports. I hope that this is true because I will have my large stroller again.

Thank you for the tips...I presume I will be getting a pack and play or will it be a crib? baby will be 9 months and hes is a little chunky monkey. I think we are going to opt for the Pop Century Resort as my 6yr old likes the look of it. We have been to ASMu but son was 4 yrs old and slept in a bed so we had plenty of room. Am I crazy doing Disney with a baby?????? We are going 3rd of May so it shouldnt be too hot then but nice to swim. My 6yr old really wants to do Discovery cove and I nearly died when I seen the price of it..sheesh...thats another concern I have about taking a baby there...Im guessing all I would be able to do is go to the beach and lagoon with the baby....hmmm bit of a waste of money for me and we are on such a tight budget this time. Anyhooo...is it expensive to mail stuff to the resort? Whats an average package cost?

You are absolutely not crazy bringing a baby. We were able to have a great time with the 6 month old (we also had a daughter 10 at the time). It will probably be harder this year now that the baby will be 18months and not wanting to have to sit in the stroller the whole time. Discovery Cove is very expensive and I'm not sure that your 6 year old is old enough to completely enjoy it, and to always remember it. How about checking out Aquatica at Sea World?

I agree, bringing a baby was easy for us. Its my now 16 month old that Im worried about. She was much easier at 3 1/2 mos:rotfl2:
Im hoping for the best when we leave next month. We have taken our kids at all ages, but the infant stage, before walking, is definately the easiest!!
