I know I can sign up my guy for the Lab on line and even pick my secret password and who's allowed to sign him out. But is there some form I need to bring with me to allow him to self-check out?

Also, is there some place to print off the forms so that my DH and I can leave the ship with the other child (we're in two rooms) or do I have to get that at guest services?

To allow self checkout, you just need to tell them when you pick up the magic band, either in the port terminal or at the kids club. I thought there used to be a box to check during the online registration, but there hasn't been since they redid their website over a year ago.

There is a form to sign so you can take off a child not in your stateroom. You can get that at guest services. It isn't available online.

You do get it at guest services. The good news is that if you go at a time that isn't too busy (ie not when you first get on, maybe not the first afternoon) the line will be shorter and they will enter the form directly into the computer at that time, so the change is immediate. We did this, and we tested it a few minutes later when we got off the ship. The change was indeed immediate.

Sorry can I jump in on your thread...we have 9 staterooms and there are a potential of 12 adults that could pick up my child (aunts and uncles...we'll probably take turns depending on who is there at what time). Do I list all 12 of these adults on a form or do I have to do that at a desk? Thanks.

When you sign your child up on line, there is a part that asks "who can sign the child out" and a list of all the eligible guests that are linked to your account. My older son (14) was one of the ones on my list, which I checked off. Now, whether they will actually allow it on the ship, I don't know, but he was there as a choice.

Are you talking about the form that allows another adult to debark the ship with your child? That is available online.

1. From your reservations click "Online checkin"
2. Scroll to the bottom of this screen, underneath the video of Goofy doing checkin
3. Click the link at the bottom that says:

Parental Debarkation Authorization Form
Complete this form to allow your child to leave the ship unaccompanied or with an adult not assigned to your stateroom.

ETA: Looks like when I copied and pasted the text from the checkin page, the link also copied. So, really you can just click the blue text above and get the form. Fill it out and drop it off. Easy!

When you complete the registration and get the Oceaneer bands, the CM will go over everyone who can pick up and you can add anyone else that you need to, so don't stress about having everyone on the list when you register online.
Who ever 'signed' the online registration form and add and remove any authorised adults at any point throughout the cruise. Just remember, auth adults just need their KTTW card and know the secret word to pick up.

Do you mean who can pick up from the club/lab? Anyone 13+ can pick up as long as you add them to the list. If you mean that you didn't allow him to pick up, but you've changed your mind and do want him to be able to pick up, just let the CM completing the registration (when you get the band) know and they can add him back on. they literally just have to check a box and he'll be added. Usually the CM completing the registration will double check who you want to be able to pick up...

That's the form I was looking for. Thanks so much. :)

Perfect thank you. And thank you to OP for letting me ask questions here. Sorry didn't mean to hijack.

Just an FYI - we asked that my 8yo have self check-out privileges b/c he'd be going in and out with his 11yo sister. They totally messed it up when we first checked in. I ended up having to leave in the middle of dinner to take care of it (thank goodness for the app, as my 11yo was texting me that they wouldn't let her brother out). I was super clear on day 1, and she said "sure, totally fine!" but apparently it didn't happen anyway. So maybe do a test so that doesn't happen to you!
