Hello, i am looking at renting a pool home in this community. I have stayed at Windsor Hills last july and it was great, is this development similar with clubhouse and community pool? My kids loved that slide and games room at WHR.

Formosa Gardens is high end but there is no clubhouse or community pool.
Might not be a good fit for what you are looking for, but it sure is a great rental community. The homes are large and beautiful. They all have larger peices of property also.

that was really quick, thanks isla bonita, i guess it is back to Windsor Hills my kids like the resort enviroment. have anyone stayed at pool home DSNY3 in windsor hills?

Emerald Island is right near Formosa Gardens. Deb(Isla Bonita) has a home in that subdivision. We rented a house there last year and it was wonderful! 1600 sq ft 4bd/4ba with a pool in the backyard and the garage was a gameroom. It was about 180/night.

windsor palms might be worth a look, we stayed there twice and enjoyed both times ??? Just a thought?

We have stayed at Formosa Gardens twice, the first time there were 22 of us sharing a nine bedroom mansion, and the second time 9 of us were in a 5 bedroom one. The villas are beautiful and so is the area, and it's very convenient for Disney. I'd highly reccomend it, and would be going back there, but we have splashed out on AKL this year as a special treat for my 50th birthday. If you need any more info, I will be happy to help

Thanks rie'smom for that compliment but EI does not have the slide it looks like they are looking for.

I have seen resorts with that type of activity. We stayed in Vistane and one of there pools has a slide.

We also love Emerald Island. We rented there twice. One was Deb's house (the Bonita), and it was awesome. We love that whole area. We drove around last year to check all the developments out. FG is beautiful, as Deb says. WP and WH are also lovely. Even Oak Island Cove/Harbor, though not gated or as fancy, are very pretty. Any one of those new developments off 192 has a great location. Good luck with your search!

Thanks guys for all your helpful advice. I have decided to go with Windsor Hills again this time as i know my kids loved it there. I have cancelled my resevations with disney as i know 5 people in that Port Orleans room was not gonna work. I love the look of the homes in Formosa Gardens but our vacations are always first and formost for my kids and they make the final decision. We spend 2 weeks, so we have a lot of resort down time and need somewhere that won't bore the kids, although my 14year old DS is always bored unless he is on a computer, which makes the homes great as he can bring his laptop and internet is free. I have made the booking with a owner who has 2 six bedroom home in WHR called DSNY home #3 and DSNY home #4. They look wonderful and well equipped.

Thanks Jessica for the kind words we try.

I am sure you can not go wrong.

Like you we also spend 2 weeks and enjoy the down time in the home. For us it is the pool that makes our vacations.

Not really our vacation but the kids vacation.

Our motto "when the kids are happy so are the adults" you can all quote me cuz I am always right you can just ask my husband and kids. LOL

If you choose to believe that I might have some swamp land in EI for sale soon inqire with a PM if interested. LOL

Have a ball on your vacation.
