honu- I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope everything works out for you. Long term illness sucks. I can understand frustration- We thought when they removed part of my husbands lung to remove the cancer that he would start feeling better but he hasn't improved much. He wants to go back to doing what he did before but he can barely get around with out being tired and having to rest. Hopefully we will get some answers this week.
Debbie-I am no herorine- We have been a military family the whole time we have been married and I know no other way to be. My boys were all raised with the values we believed in and they all chose the military and I am very proud of them. I don't think I do any different than any other military mom or wife. But thanks.

I'll be thinking about your husband too. I hope it works out for him.

Has he tried pool work? That might help. It's easy on the body and if he gets tired he can just float. That might help him start to build some stamina up.

I've been so busy dealing with other stuff. I got more test results back. It's not looking good. I don't think we got it all. I have an oogie feeling there's more tumor somewhere that we don't know about. So I've kind of been down in the dumps about that.

Yup, if it's still hanging around, it means either another pituitary surgery, which I'm not sure I want because the more they do, the greater the chance of losing all pituitary function, or they take out my adrenal glands and I make no more stress hormones and have to be on replacements for the rest of my life. Neither option is good. The Bilateral Adrenalectomy would cure me for sure, so depending on what they do/don't see on the MRI will determine which route we go.

What's everyone up to today? Tell me something fun y'all are doing! I have my usual 2 pm date with the tv today. I'm going to go to Binyons (an eyeglass store) here and see about getting some new glasses. I've been needing bifocals for awhile. I have a 50% off coupon for glasses from them, so I'm going to go see how cheaply I can get into some no-line bifocals. If it's around $150 I'm probably going to do it. Biggest Loser is on tonight. So my mom and I will watch that. Plus DWTS has another celebrity going off tonight. It's a night full of TV! Woohoo!!!!!!!!! I just hope Tony Dovolani wears his shirt open tonight. He's one sexy man!!!!!!!!

Let's see...something fun I'm doing. Well, I'm wearing my hair kind of 1950's vintage today, curled and with a headband. I'm also wearing a little bit of tinted moisturizer, mascara, and some melon colored lipgloss. If I had a vintage dress I'd look the part today.

I also have to go return some Mickey Mouse clubhouse DVD's to the library and go to a sewing/quilt shop and purchase a thread cone adaptor.

Something fun: Hmmm...nothing much here. I did laundry and cleaned house (well, sort of ). I have been really busy with my Mom and some other stuff lately (including a 5 day trip to fl a couple of weeks ago). I hope everyone is having better weather than we are. It has rained almost continuously for the last week and it is projected to continue through next week. I so want the sun to shine.

I looked at the 10 day forecast and it was rainy the entire time! I am begging for some mercy from the sunshine gods! I had a long list of things that must be done on some rental property we plan to sell, but it is exterior stuff which means it can't be done until the sun finally decides to shine. My husband asked me if I didn't need to go to Disney "or something", he is so tired of it.

I am not a fan of science fiction, but this is not that sort of work by Bradbury. He was born and raised in Evanston, IL, and my Grandpa was born and raised in a nearby town, Glenview, IL. So I see a lot of him in the book, and it makes me feel happy.
