Formal Pictures

I know pictures are taken on formal and semi-formal night - are they taken every evening before dinner? I have read where people get there "early" to avoid the crowds. If have the early seating, what time should we plan on arriving to avoid the crowds before dinner?

Also is it correct that on formal night you can get your picture taken with either Mickey or Minnie, but on semi-formal you can get them together?

On our cruise 8/03, my DW and I got our picture taken with both Mickey and Minnie together on Formal Night.

We had early dining and went down at around 5:15-5:30 and were the first in line for our pictures. You could get your pictures any night. Their were always places for pictures at night. We would go early to dinner and get the kids pictures with characters.

Are Mickey and Minnie in their formal wear on BOTH formal and semi-formal nights?
