Formal Night

We're on the eastern cruise this Sat, and I was not planning on having my kids (9 and 4) with us on formal night. Could any former cruisers tell me whether most parents bring kids to formal night?

Just my take on it, but I think most parents DO bring them...it's a chance to get a nice family portrait too. I'm trying to think of the dining room and it seemed full of families. I enjoyed seeing all the kids dolled up that way.

My daughter loved getting dressed up and didn't want to change when done with dinner, whereas my son put his shorts on as soon as he could. *grin*
