Formal Introduction

Hello to everybody. I've made a few posts and finally have the time to make my formal introduction (recently had wrist surgery and just got the cast off so I can really type now). My name is Bruce, DW is Margaret (Peggy), DD9 who is Katelyn & DD8 who is Savanna. We have a 26ft Gulf Stream/Gulf Breeze which we bought last year. Our oldest DD has special medical needs and we found camping has helped with her socialization skills and her sensory disorders. We went to the Fort and fell in love with the campground!! Soon after bought a golf cart and traded in the F150 for a F250 (I let my wife go with the F250 as long as I can buy a 5ver in the future) We both work in, well, let's just say public relations, kinda, and it's really nice to meet normal people and relax at the Fort making new friends. My wife & I have really been impressed with the DISboards and it gives us hope finding out there are a lot of people out there just like us!! We live in Cape Coral, which is in Fort Myers, Fl and just as soon as we retire, we are moving to Lexington, Va!! I love beer and DW loves wine, so camping is right up our alley!!!! Most of all we love all things Disney!!! I'm already addicted to DIS and bought a laptop just for it!!!!!!! If your ever in our neck of the woods let us know!!!!

Welcome to the DIS Boards. If you didn't specify that you lived in Florida, I'd swear that you were my good camping buddy up here in Ohio. He too has a child with special needs and camping is just fantastic for her. It must be all of those friendly camper-type people with a shared wander-lust.

Hi Bruce & Margaret!!! Welcome! I'm Christy, and I have a DD, Faith, that is 9. Maybe we'll run into eachother some time so our girls can play! I don't have a camper, so we are usually away from everything over in the 2000 loop. So ya'll can come by sometime and just start hollering " HEY CHRISTY"! I'm come say hello if i hear ya. If i'm not there maybe there will be another Christy that is just as weird , I mean just as nice as me!
