Forgetting how this all works

Need a refresher on how the 7mo window works when adding on to an existing reservation.

I booked a 4 nights/5 day stay at the 11 mo mark. I need to add on a day to the end using 7mo points. Can I book that 5th night at the 7mo mark of my original check in day (May 8 for Dec 8 check in) or does it have to be the 7mo mark of my add on day (May 12 to add on Dec 12)?

I believe I can reserve 7mo from my original check in day, correct?

Since you will be using non-home resort points to book the 5th night, you will need to wait for the 7 month window to open for the night you want to add on - i.e., you can't book Dec 12 until May 12.
