Is it possible to make it into DCA for the 10:15 showing of WOC after the fireworks? It'll be on a Sat night and all APs except Premium are blocked (if that makes a crowd difference getting out). My plan is to be on Main St towards Town Square.

Thanks!

I did this last year after the Christmas fireworks show which lasted about 15 minutes. I was alone that evening and I barely made it. Main Street is crowded at DLR and that really slows you down. Be aware that if DCA closes at 10PM and you have a WOC FP they will let you in after the 10PM closure if you have the FP.

Bottom line is it will be extremely difficult if:

- you have a group where one of the member cannot move in a quick and nimble way thru crowds
- you are of small stature and/or have a group with you because it is hard to get a good spot to see when you are shorter or need to accommodate a group of people

Thanks! Just me so hopefully I'll be good. Thanks for the info on the fp, didn't know they did that.

As HydroGuy noted, they use a FP system for WoC. So you'll need to get a FP during the day in order to get back into DCA after 10:00 pm (when DCA closes). The catch is that they distributed FPs for WoC's first showing first, then the second showing. So you'll have to wait for them to finish distributing the first show's FPs before you can get one for the second show.

You can always ask a CM by those machines if they can exchange for the 10:15 show for you. That's what I sometimes do, and did earlier this month. They hand-wrote them, but they did it. Not a guarantee they will always do this, but it can't hurt to ask, right?

-------

Earlier this month, I saw the new shows in one night, on more than one occasion.

First time, I waited in Tomorrowland for 8:50 PTN to pass (but wasn't really watching) and then got a great spot in the Hub for the fireworks. Then, after that, I booked it out of DL and to DCA for WOC. Made it two minutes before they closed to gates. After WOC, I went back to Disneyland and watched PTN from a spot by Small World. I was solo for this one.

The other time, I kind of hung out in the penny arcade on MS, and then hopped into the parade crowd when the Frozen Float was coming. Then, after the final float, everyone flooded the street, and watched the show. I had my 7 year old sister with me, and we were able to get to DCA with several minutes to spare, and a spot on a rail for WOC.

I've also watched the fireworks from Town Square, on another night we saw the 9:00 WOC first. View wasn't great, and crowding wasn't better like you'd think it should be.

Taking everything into account, I'd HIGHLY recommend watching from MS by the Penny arcade or South. The projections are awesome, and the show is so much better from there. Especially seeing as you are solo, the added effects you see from this spot are worth the extra few hundred feet of walking through crowds, and it doesn't add all that much time to your egress.

Knew about the fp for the show, just didn't know they'd let you in 10. Sorry for the mix-up! :goodvibes Definitely will try to get one later in the day.

Thanks for the viewing tips!

Related question: Can I watch fireworks at Cathay Circle Restaurant during dinner and then make it to WOC in time? Going next week, so I know it'll be busy. Anyone ever done this?
