Foreign Currency Exchange

I read that you can exchange Foreign Currency at WDW. Has anyone ever exchanged Cdn $$ and how did you find the exchange rate? Was there any benefit to exchanging it there vs before leaving home? How did the rates compare?

It is much better to exchange any money here at home. In Disney and the banks down there they charge you a service charge and the rates are the same or a little higher than ours. That has been my experience anyway.

We always take about $200 U.S. in cash and the rest in $US travellers cheques. We also use Visa or Mastercard for the big ticket items. It seems a lot easier to get your US money at this end, especially since some Canadian bank machines now give you U.S. cash directly. I just LOVE that feature.
