Ford escape or ford edge?

Do you think my family of five (with 5 large duffel bags and 5 carry on bags will fit in either a ford escape or a ford edge? Or should I book mini van at a much inflated cost?

We are a family of 5. My mom has an Escape and it would be very, very tight with us an all of our things in there. If your OK with people having bags at their feet and on their lap... I think you'll need the van.

Thank you! I did think that about the escape. Anyone have an edge? Is that car a lot bigger than the escape?

My parents have an Escape and an Edge, I think the Edge is bigger and more comfortable.

Thanks I ending renting the ford edge. Just looks a lot wider. Thanks for all your responses
