We will be flying VA in 2 weeks, but we don't have boarding passes. I've looked on the website and their FAQs and I don't see anything about Boarding Passes. We have printed out the confirmation. All of our names and allother info is correct.

Do we need boarding passes?

Yes, check in at the counter, they will give you your boarding passes. I see you're from Danville, I'm from San Ramon (hey neighbor), don't forget they're in the international terminal, and if you take Bart, it's right outside the station. Pretty convenient, love this airline!!!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the info. We lived in SR for 13 years - San Ramon...Danville - same thing!

We are getting so excited, but VA had us scared when the flights disappeared for a few months (we bought them in March!)

My niece works for a limo company, so we'll get over to SF that way (of course, I'm having nightmares that they're late coming to pick us up!)

I thought that they refunded all the early-bookers when they canceled/delayed shortly after their first announcement. You're 100% sure you have reservations with them?

I've printed boarding passes from their site...though I don't anymore b/c I like the official ones better, LOL. Printout on white paper vs pretty red card...

Assuming you do have tickets (and I really hope so, I'm very nervous for you right now), when you check in 24 hours before your flight, that is when you print the boarding passes.

Didn't notice the "2 weeks" thing at first...

Thanks for the "heads-up", Molly (got your PM too). We have never received a credit on our credit card from VA, so I assume that we still have tickets. But I will check!

update: just confirmed that the reservations exist.

Oh thank goodness! Whew.

I was watching the VA stuff, because we would have been willing to pay more (and perhaps parlay a flight into a DLR trip) to get down to LA to take VA over to Orlando for our WDW trip, and just as I was thinking of booking they delayed everything.

Maybe since your trip was secretly in a group of "oh we're sure we can make THAT deadline" and that's how it escaped. :goodvibes

And only a week or so after we booked our flights (SW there, Alaska back), after watching their Facebook page for a hint of their plans and seeing nothing, VA reannounced!

So obviously I've been following the whole VA thing closely, which is why your situation worried me so much. :upsidedow

You can also do online check in 24 hours before your flight. It's under the "Manage Travel" tab > Check-In. 24 hours prior to departure is the best time to see any available pay-to-upgrade seats as well.

BTW, we flew VA to Cali in the Spring and I have to say it was the best flight I have ever had. They do a fantastic job with the flying experience.
