We just returned from VB . We love VB and have owened at VB since 1998. I would like to know if you have seen a lack of cleaning in the resort. We were in the villa side (2BDR). The floor was really dirty. Our socks are BLACK! We had someones leftover cherrios on the floor. The bathroom vents had black mold all over them. The air vents were covered with dust. The dryer had to be replaced due to burning our clothes. Also found out that the vent from the dryer to the outside was completely packed closed! One more thing , what happened to the DJ in the afternoon? They only have music on Sat.?Thanks! Chris:confused:

Funny you should mention this.

Last October I had a 2 bdrm reservation for my wife and I and 2 cousins. I wanted them to be really impressed with Vero since they hadn't been before. They were meeting us at the resort. I tried to get there a little early so I could check things out in the room ahead of time. I sure was glad I did.

I spent 45 minutes to an hour cleaning what looked like splashed chocolate milk on the closet door in the 2nd bedroom. It was filthy. I also tried to buff some of the black scuff marks off the walls. We had burned out lights as well.

The last time I stayed at Vero before this trip, my wife and I stayed in an Ocean View Inn Room. It was immaculate.

I feel that over the last couple of years I have noticed a decline in the cleanliness of many of the DVC resorts. This has me concerned. I don't feel that I am being nitpicky either. On our last trip to the Boardwalk, I had to carry 2 room service trays to the front desk because I could no longer stand the smell in the hallway on the way to our room. We had left the room late one afternoon - 2:00pm or so and returned later at night and they were still there. I went out the next morning to the bakery and they were still there. Finally, after housekeeping had been cleaning for some time, we left late in the morning the second day and the smelly thousand island dressing was more than I could bear at that point. I picked the trays up, carried them downstairs and instructed that front desk I was not happy that the trays had been left in the hallway for 20+ hours and no one picked them up.
