For those with Visa Debit Card w/reward Points

I use both PNC and National City banks. They just changed the structure of their payouts and it takes a little more to earn rewards.

Mine is a credit, not a debit card; Chase Freedom. We don't carry revolving credit (debt bad! ) anymore, so we will set them up for online bill pay, and deduct the amount we spend each transaction from our checkbook register (I usually journal it as "Chase, gas, hide") so that the funds are set aside to pay in full each month.

Here's why I got this card: 3% cash back on groceries & gas up to 600/month, 1% afterwards and 1% on all other purchases. Caveat: grocery purchases must be at a grocery store, not a walmart or target. I do The Grocery Game, and so it's much cheaper for me to shop at the grocery store than walmart now, so it works great for me.:cloud9:

OH-- If you wait until you accumulate $200 in rewards before claiming, they will give you a $50 bonus!

I figure by the time we're ready for our WDW trip (May2008 baby!:goodvibes ), we will have at least the $250 cash reward in our pockets!

I have mine with Wachovia - it's a point per dollar spend. I don't use credit cards so I love getting points for using my debit card

I just got mine Last week and in the information packet it says: "earn 1% back in everday purchases made with you card....Sprinkle alittle pixie dust on the things you buy everyday. Poof! Your gas and groceries become Disney Rewards. You can even earn Disney Rewards when you pay monthly bills with your card."

Another for Chase.

Chase actually offers several points programs through debit cards.

If you're just looking for the basic, basic points they offer a free program but also offer the Chase Leisure Rewards card.

Pay a $25 enrollment fee and you get 4pts/$1 you spend. It's a great deal if you use your debit card a lot.
A lot of my coworkers have it (can you tell I work for Chase? haha) and have already cashed in once this year to get a $40 check. I think they did that around April.

Thats great.... I guess the question now is how many points does it take to equal a dollar? I was going into this thinking it was a one = one kind of thing but apparently not....

I think Chase Visa extras (which is the free program) is $1=1 point, and you can cash out for $2,000 points for $4 credit, or 6,000 points = $10 gift card (and more points = higher gift cards)

Mine is through Bank of America, it's an Alaskan Airlines debit card. I earn one mile for every $2 dollars I spend. Between DH and my self paying bills, getting groceries, or getting gas, we earn enough to get our tickets to Florida. I think Bank of America has other airlines as well, but I think they are regional.

Just Had to say your Boston is beautiful. We are big time Boston Terrier people. My Boston is named Brandi.

Chase offers points with their Visa debit cards. That's who we have ours through.

yes - Chase does offer points. I forgot I signed up for that until today, when I got my points balance update. LOL

Upon further checking, it appears they have several debit rewards programs. Some free and some with an annual fee. I have the free one.
