How would you rate your cruise?

Currently, I have the Breathless reserved for an Illuminations Cruise, but I want some feedback from people who have done it. My DH has left the choice up to me. At this point he's just like whatever, just tell me how much it is. (He tolerates Disney for me, but that's another story).

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I haven't done the Breathless, but I 've done the pontoon boats and it's worth it! I love not fighting the crowds for a space. The perfect view of Illuminations! The pontoons park under the bridge by the R&C. I'm not sure where the Breathless parks.

Thanks Twotoohappy
For DH, not having to fight the crowds will be definitely worth it.

Anybody else have input? Thanks

On our last cruise, ALL the boats (including Breathless) parked under the bridge. A big THUMBS UP for Illuminations cruise! We're doing another one on June 13th! :bounce:

We do an illuminations cruise just about every trip...we love it...have never done the Breathless just Pontoons..but it is great...

The Breathless is a speedboat, and configured a lot differently than the pontoons. You need to be able to step down into the boat a long way, and also to be able to get back out. It is not as convenient for some people as the pontoons. Now if you have no mobility issues, it should be a lot of fun!

I've never experienced the Breathless but we were fortunate to have an Illuminations Cruise in 2000 on one of the pontoons.

My Disney impaired husband proclaimed that it was not only worth the money but it was worth the trip to Orlando.

I never got him to enter a park during the 10 days we were there but he loved that Illuminations cruise :)

dgaston Thanks for the heads up. I don't think that should be a problem.

nativetxn, Hmmm your DH sounds an awful lot like mine.:scratchin

I've done the Breathless and pontoon Illuminations cruises, and loved both. If you can afford the Breathless, and can get the reservation, do it. It is an unforgettable experience. DH and I felt like celebrities!:teeth: It was great fun. The pontoon cruises are great too, well worth the money.:D

While my DH doesn't have a bad attitude about WDW - he does hate being crammed in crowds for parades, fireworks etc. So I surprised him in 2000 with and Illuminations cruise and he absolutely loved it! We were supposed to share it with 2 other families - and when we first left neither of them had shown up!! - Luckily one of the families got there late and our driver was radioed so we could go back and get them. They very nicely split the whole cost with us. But DH said it would have been worth it even if we'd had to pay the whole thing by ourselves - that's HIGH praise from him!!:p

:teeth: :teeth: Well thanks to DisneyTeacher, who had to cancel a pontoon boat, we were able to coordinate her cancellation with me calling, and I was able to get a pontoon boat. I just love these boards:teeth: :teeth:

So now I just need to cancel the breathless, but I will post on Illuminations Cruise Central, so that I can pass along the favor and allow someone who wants it to grab it.

And as for my DH, I like to look at him as Grumpy. He reluctantly agrees to go, but once he gets there he has a ball. He just can't wait for our DD's to get older, so he won't feel guilty about staying at the hotel. His idea of vacation is laying in a hammock somewhere sleeping, reading sports illustrated or watching any type of sporting event on TV.

I think he will love the Illuminations cruise because he too hates crowds Disney Debbie.

Did this in January thanks to Disers Jim&Robin. It was SO awesome. We did Breathless, and we were!!! It was SPECTACULAR--So worth the $$$$$. Plus, we split the cost with the other Disers, so it was well worth it!!! The view can't be beat and there's no crowd to fight!!!!
