I bought DD an LL Bean lunch bag for school. She is getting milk from the school for her lunch so I will not be packing a frozen juice box or anything. So, I'm looking for an ice pack that will fit & last at least 5 hours.

What kind of ice pack do you use for your LL Bean lunch bag?

Where did you buy it?

TIA!

Right now at the Target dollar section--they have ice packs that are 75% off. So $.25 an ice pack. I bought 4 for the year.

I bought our kids' last year. I think I finally found them in teh camping section at Walmart.

I bought the small Blue gel ice packs. I use two. They have them at Walmart and Target. They work great!

I bought some of those apple ice packs from Lillian Vernon several years ago. Not cheap, but oh so cute. My dd says kids at school (she just goes to homeschool classes now but still......) want to take them.....LOL. It is a cute concept and they work.

Edited; OOPS. Should have looked before I posted. Looks like they don't have them anymore. Too bad. Was so cute.

Yes, look in the camping sections of walmart/target. That's where you'll find the better ones and cheap, too.

Thanks everyone! I'm going to run to Target during my lunch.

I saw those cute princess ones in the $ spot the last time I was there.

Do they work well?

I'm thinking I'm going to need them to stay cold for about 4-5 hours. I figured I better buy 2-3 in case DD throws them out or if I forget to put it back in the freezer.

I bought the ones from the Target dollar section last week. I like them because they are small so I could pack two of them. At the great price they were I bought about 10, I'm sure they will break through the school year so I have so back ups.

I have some of the dollar spot Target ones and I also got a square one from the lunchbox/back to school section at Target that seems like it will keep things cool a little longer than just the little dollar ones. I got one of those. They all seem to do the job!
