For those who think Disney is overpriced for CS

I always have this conversation with people who have not been to Disney. Counter service is not a large expense. Snacks either. My husband and I often take our kids to amusement parks, day trips to museums, sporting events etc and we are always saying how much it is to eat everywhere.. It is no more at Disney than at any of these. It is comparable or better than many places we have been to for the same type of food.

Might be because of the region we live in. I never think CS is expensive at Disney. I go to Panara, Boston Market, Chic Fil A, and lots more around here (30 minutes outside of Philly)and prices are comparable. Also think Disney counter service is usually pretty good for what you get. (and knwo what to stay away from that is!)

Even though they are not owned and operated by WDW the best counter service location in terms of cost has to be Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney Marketplace, because their prices are very fair. Plus if you are a member of AAA/CAA you get 15% off just by showing them your card when you pay for your food.

EOS rocks! Love absolutely everything there. And really? Soup for $2.99 and a huge sandwhich for $5.99? yummo.

Always forget about AAA discount, thanks for reminder.

I think Disney's fairly average for attraction CS prices, however hubby compares them to SeaWorld, where we could get all-you-can-eat for $30/day. Then Disney doesn't look so hot. Mind you, we have two teenage boys, and a teenage girl who can out-eat either of them, so all-you-can-eat is A Very Good Thing around here. ;)

But if it was just eldest and youngest daughter and I, we'd do fine at Disney on $30/day or less each without any kind of plan, so it just depends on what works for you I think.

$18.50 - La Cantina - Epcot C/S - for Tacos, Churro, Drink. :upsidedow

Mouth watrering. Okay so now I really want one of these CS meals!! :rotfl:

After all that is how Disney has gotten so many of us addicted to the DDP! cha-ching! Just one CS meal! :rotfl2:

I don't think Disney's CS food is overpriced at all for what you get. I was just explaining the QSDP to my dad since he is coming along with me and the kids this year. He thought it sounded expensive until I broke it all down for him.

Granted you can eat cheaper at your local McDonalds but the quality of food won't be as good or as varietied as Disney's.

My dad was afraid he would be eating burgers all week. :lmao:
