If you need another reason to go out and give your RV a hug, here it is. Ugh. We used to stay in hotels and I tired not to think about stuff like this, but it does make you wonder. I'm going out now to lie down on my DRY mattress.

I read the original bed wetting thread and felt the willies. We are not driving down with our camper on the next trip as we will not have enough time. So, we will be using the hotel beds. Missing my camper and FW already.... However, I am going to be an optimist and hope that the guests tell mousekeeping and that WDW will pay its usual attention to detail!

you just made my day,so now i feel better about the 130.00 to fill my tank because i just read about bed bugs being a problem at some very nice hotels. i guess i'll just have to give the rv a bath to say thanks. the $1200 in gas to go to the fort was worth every penny just to sleep in my own bed lol.

I was reading about the bed bugs last night and was pretty grossed out by what I read. I haven't stayed in a hotel since June of 2005 when I went to China to adopt our daughter and last night I was so itchy just reading about them. Glad I didn't know about them before I traveled or it would have been another stress. I can't stand walking on hotel carpet and always wear slippers. Give me my own bed and my own sheets.

Last time we were at WDW (May 2004) we came home with bed bugs. We stayed in a cabin down there, but are pretty (though not 100%) that the bugs came from another cabin at a KOA in Charlotte that we stayed in coming home. We are planning on another trip in June 2007, but the bug thing really has me skiddish. Getting rid of those little buggers is nothing short of a miracle and not being able to sleep in my own bed for 2 months while we were getting rid of them was no treat either! Seems the murphy bed in the cabin would be an ideal hiding place for them and you can be sure I'll be going over the cabin from stem to stern before moving anything in from our truck!

That is no reason to hug your RV hell just flip the mattress and go to sleep is all we would do.

Hmm sounds like DVC LOL although we don't have to worry about the bikes or extra clothes I love my washer and dryer LOL......

It is going to be tough in Dec 07 when we use the wifes trailer down there I hope I don't complain to her to much about it. Atleast I have the 2 bedroom at SSR to look foreward to for the second week.

f4disneyfan,

Ya that is one reason we don't own pets well that and the fact I pretty much hate dogs and cats LOL. I would never bring an animal on holidays with me just couldn't be bothered I guess that is why our lizzard is going to the boarding home for 2 weeks in Dec.

This link tells you to leave a decoy tooth brush out and keep the one you use hidden in case they decide to clean the toilet with it!
