this is only an idea but this is for those who like to drive down. there is a little place 25 mins from the port called titusville. they have a good cheap hotel there called DAYS INN. about $50 a night. much cheaper then cocoa beach. in the area around the hotel is plenty of resturants and a WALMART. i found the hotel to be good and ill be staying there from now on. the walmart sells all the last minute things you need for the cruise. and all the money you save you can use on this onthe MAGIC or WONDER. i hope this helps and to get the best deal look at expedia.com to book the room.
thanks

Thanks KY :-)
THe main reason I am choosing the Radisson is because of the shuttle to the port. I was able to secure a rate of $109.00 for my upcoming trip for a king suite room. That means that I do not have to pay the parking fee at port! (70 bucks! Yikes) So I am actually getting away cheaper than staying else where! :Pinkbounc Which of course means more cruise money!! WARNING! Long-winded, off-topic reminiscence alert:<blockquote>I have vivid memories of that property. I stayed there July 4, 1987! I was driving from Virginia to South Florida on my way to get married. I was driving the little car I could barely afford as a student... it didn't have air conditioning. It was HOT that day. I'd hoped to stop around St. Augustine, but <b><i>everything</i></b> there was full because of the NASCAR race at Daytona. Titusville was the first town <i>after</i> Daytona that wasn't booked solid or charging race-inflated rates. I was hot, sweaty, and overtired by the time I arrived at that Days Inn. I got the last room they had... the customers in line after me were turned away. I arrived in my room, ready for a refreshing shower. I turned on the water, adjusted the temperature, and then pulled the lever for the shower diverter. The entire faucet broke off the wall and the water was gushing straight out of the wall where the faucet had been! I considered my options; realizing I had none, I enjoyed a shower of water gushing out of a hole in the wall!

I've actually had worse hotel experiences, but I've never been able to laugh in the face of misery as I did in that experience!</blockquote>

Did you use a code to get the king suite at $109? I haven't found a way to get the price lower than $129 for our Oct. 31 stay.

No special code sweet spot, wjen you go to the website, make sure you click on view all rates, and you should see the 109 rate. HTH

My reason for not staying at the Radisson and parking at the Port is that I don't want to have to wait for a shuttle bus when the cruise is over. Too many things left to do and only a few days left in our vacation/drive home to waste anytime. But that's me.

I found a great place near Universal Studios that has shuttles to all the major theme parks and is only costing us $71.68 for two nights. Yes, I will have to wait for the shuttle there but hey, it beats dealing with theme park traffic!
