I just placed my order w/ them and picked the two hour window of 12:00 - 2:00 pm....my question is, what happens if I am not there when they show up to deliver??? I have already paid for the groceries...thanks :thumbsup2

loved garden grocer.........we paid paypal when we ordered, 2 wks before trip, and asked deliver 12=2 pm on arrival date, then we went to a park, when we returned at nite I asked at desk and they replied groceries were there and in fridge, they were delivered to room COLD and in nice coldbags, like cheap coolers,

I answered hotel room door later that night 8pm to find a CM with groceries to deliver,I tipped her $3, very nice, great experience, very happy, would def!!! use them every trip,

Tip, if on DDPlan, dont buy much, u get sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much food on DDP. We had unopened MnMs ,chips and pretzels.and barely eaten oreos! We used soda, water, cereal milks, coffee cake jrs.......enjoy!

When I inquired with gardengrocer about the same thing (I just placed an order too) they said I should put in the message area at check out that I wanted the bellman to accept the delivery if I was not present.

i didnt put that request in and still had no prob, Garden grocer even called my cell to be sure i was happy! :goodvibes

Just used them and was extremely happy!! We too set the delivery time for between 12-2. They called my cell at exactly 11:55 to see if we had checked in and gotten our room. At the moment they called we were actually doing just that. We gave them our room number and they arrived at 12:15 and brought the delivery directly to the room in a big cooler. Everything was nice and cold and went right into our refrigerator. Worked out great for us!! :thumbsup2

We used them last month as well, and were extremely satisfied. We weren't in our room (in fact, hadn't even checked in yet) when they delivered, didn't put a note in the comments field telling them we wouldn't be there, and delivery went just fine. We had one minor issue with our order (we ordered a 24 pack of diet coke, and got a 12 pack), but when I called the next day (on a Sunday afternoon, no less), someone answered the phone, knew who I was, and they dropped off the second 12 pack later that day. Can't wait to use them again!

But I second the poster who said don't order too much if you're on the dining plan. We did end up finishing off everything we couldn't bring home, but it was a struggle, and we still brought home 10+ mickey krispy bars.

Used 'em in July- great experience.
Just as everyone reported - our room wasn't ready when the delivery arrived and the food left with bell services. The people I talked to were tremendous, and they even purchased a few things for us that weren't listed on their website including beer & wine (we were a large group)
Can't say enough good things about them.

how much is it for delivery and how early do you order? Sounds like everyone ordered for delivery on check in day. We will be on the DDP, but need some milk and munchies when we're back in our room at night. Do they have bottled water in cases?? Is it expensive?

Delivery is $10 for orders under $200 and free for $200 and up. When I inquired with gardengrocer they asked that I order a few weeks out b/c delivery times fill up. They have a variety of bottled water and I found the price to be reasonable. EX: a 12 bottle case of 24oz sport top bottled water was $5.79, compared to $2.00 a bottle at the resorts and parks.

any idea how far in advance you can place your order?

I just received an email from them today as I asked the same question!
His reply was:"There is no limit to how far in advance you can order and you can call us with your room info, we will call you or we will leave your order with Bell Services." I am on the dining plan but figured on some goldfish, water, apples (already sliced) and some other goodies. Does anyone have any other suggestions for when we are getting ready or winding down at the end of the night? I know we will be eating a lot all week but sometime you don't need a meal just something to hold you over. Not to mention my 4 year old doesn't always eat when we are at the restaurant,(too busy, too much to see, too much going on...) but as soon as we get back to the hotel, she will tell me she is starving! At home I always ask for her meal wrapped up and I give it to her when we get home. But in Disney I am not wrapping up and carrying her meal.....forget it! So again if anyone has any great ideas on what to order from The Garden Grocer, let me know!!!!!!!

We used Gardengrocer too, our first time of ordering groceries as we this time stayed at OKW in a 1 br on a good friends points... and loved it! Had no problems whatsoever, Brian was very professional and our window was 3-5PM, they delivered at 4PM on the dot, we paid with CC, added the tip, we made changes to our order the day before with no problems at all, I can't wait to use them again on our next trip!

Our order was completed as we had ordered, when they delivered they put the frozen items in the freezer and the cold items in the fridge for us....I have nothing but wonderful words to say about Brian & co! :thumbsup2

I would get a package of the little boxes of cereal, some yogurt (if you have a fridge), pretzels, and some other healthy snacks.

Plotmom- great idea on the little boxes of cereal! My daughter will think they are a great treat and they will travel easily and keep her occupied in the coach! Thanks! I had not thought of that! :thumbsup2

Thanks for all of the great suggestions on what to order and when. I plan on ordering from them for our trip in January. :teeth:

We used them a few weeks ago and it was flawless. They delivered to the bell desk because ME was a bit behind. The bellstaff delivered it to our room. The order was as promised. We will use them everytime from now on.
