For those who have never visited the Hudson Valley on vacation, would ever want to in the future?

I love being a Hudson Vallian. I just don't like how some in NYC make fun of us. Most that do have never been here before. I partly made the thread to see how many Disboarders actually know about the region.

Yeah, it gets old when you say you're from New York, and people assume you mean Manhattan and the five boroughs. It's a vast, beautiful state!

Honestly, been in Michigan my whole life and I can't recall anyone ever suggesting it or saying anything against it. I googled Hudson valley when you brought it up to be sure I was thinking of the correct thing... so I don't expect most of the world has given the area any thought. The only clue I had in my memory of what Hudson valley was is from looking at charts during a boat trip as a middle school child. (we went up through lakes Erie and Ontario, over to Montreal, then down through the finger lakes and came out at long island) I remember New York as being the state where everywhere we went offered virgin daiquiris and often in 2+ flavors and some form of escargot.
