I'm planning a suprise (god, i hope he doesn't decide to sign on here) carriage ride for DB for our trip in jan. I've read different posts about the carriage rides that are offered at PO and FW and i still have a question....Which one is better???

is there anybody who has done both? For those who have done the PO ride, did you find it quiet or pretty public for everyone to see? I'm leaning towards FW because it's darker and more romantic, but i would love to visit Po during our trip, seeing how neither DB or I have been there before. Do they give you a tour of Po? Are there little "romantic" spots? (sorry, i know i'm turning into obsessive compulsive planner:p )

Also, i know you can request champagne in the carriage. Would anybody have a price range? Is it better to go to the resort shops and pick up something before hand?

ok...i think that's about it. Thank you all in advance:wave2:

My husband and I just did this on our honeymoon in October. We chose the one at Port Orleans and we did the first ride of the evening at 6:00 p.m. so it was still quite light outside.

We loved our driver and she was so knowledgeable about the parks and answered all of our questions or was quiet when we wanted to be more silent.

It was a covered carriage but it is still possible for people to see inside. Many resort guests would wave or point because they thought it was neat. The path that the carriage takes is shared by the guests and the carriage takes up a good portion of the room.

It was the first time we had seen the resort and we found it to be very quiet and romantic. Beautiful cobblestone walkways and sweeping trees over the path. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner afterwards at Boatwrights.

We enjoyed our experience here so much we will be staying at this resort next September.

When I booked the ride I mentioned we were on our honeymoon and our driver brought us non-alcoholic sparkling champagne as a gift to enjoy while we rode. I do not know if this was only because we were on our honeymoon or if they would have done this anyway.

The ride cost $30 and was one of the best bargains of our trip in our opinion.
