The only real use you would get out of packing a sweater is to look at it later, laugh and say "I can't believe I packed sweaters". Been there, done that.
Even for rain I didn't want to put the poncho on. It felt like being stuffed into a 95 degree ziploc bag. It stuck to me, I still got wet, and it was just uncomfortable.
I do highly recommend shoes that go from wet to dry easily (like Tevas or Keens). That way you can plod through the puddles and they are still comfortable and dried out by afternoon. The rain really wasn't a deterrent. It cleared the parks and cooled things down a bit. We keep going when it's raining. I wore mostly capris. 4 or 5 more inches of fabric really didn't make me any hotter. It's just plain hot.
we're going for 10 days in August. I'm packing 3 shorts and 3 capris. Is it too hot for capris? I'll pack a windbreaker for rain, but I don't need a sweater, right? a/c doesn't bother me. I'm hoping to only have to do laundry once
. I just choose some nice light cotton ones and don't have a problem. I only wore dresses once or twice but don't like it because it could be cumbersome getting on/off rides (i.e. Space mountain
)
. Tanks are the best as long as you get good sunscreen coverage.
I am excited because this time we will have a washer and dryer in our room! Can't wait!!
