For those who can't get through, as in, they're getting busy signals and "circuits are busy," call the Disney Store number, 1-800-328-0368, and apologize profusely, saying you meant to reach the dining line. They will transfer you to the correct place.

Please understand, this may or may not lessen your holding wait time, but you can at least get to the correct place.

I've tried this and can verify that it works (and if you get Anthony, he's super nice. LoL!)

I called the disability line and got right through. I felt so guilty, but wa desperate after 2 hours of busy signals. I told the CM from dining that I felt guilty, but she was very nice and said you have to do what you have to do to get through...dont feel guilty. I got a reservation for Nov. 19th. at 4:45. We totally wont be hungry since we have a lunch reervation at 12, but oh well...we're in :lmao:

This worked! I talked to Anthony and he was super nice and I got right into the Dining line. Unfortunately, Be Our Guest is already booked up the week of Dec 2nd for dinner. Oh Well, there's always quick service lunch. Thanks again for the tip!

SOOOO thankful I went on here and found your thread!! I had been trying for over 3 hours and got right through and reservations are booked!!
Thanks so much for the tip!

After holding for a long time, I called a number for UK visitors... had to dial the 011-44 but I got through with no wait and didn't need to be transferred :goodvibes

I'm sure the people answering the phone at the Disney Store number have other people they should be helping. Flooding them with calls for dining seems inconsiderate.

Anthony put me right through! No wait when I got there! I got the date and time I wanted and was off the phone in 10 mins! Thank you so much for this tip!

Thank you for the tip! I felt a little guilty, but after 400+ redials over almost 4 hours, I was getting desperate. There was no hold at the Disney store, and when they transferred me over, I spoke to a rep immediately. The December date I wanted was not available, of course, but I got one for the day after Thanksgiving and then one for February 9.

I tried this just now, but still got a busy signal and was disconnected after they transferred me >.<L

I just got two ressies for Jan. The wait time for a vacation advisor is 15 minutes, but not bad considering. The vacation advisor and I were joking about all the DVC members calling in....

I agree with sunshinehighway, and as much as I want to eat at Be Our Guest, it should not be the Disney Store's job to get me through to Dining, and no matter how nice and cooperative Anthony is, I feel I would knowingly be taking him away from his real responsibilities.

I just called the WDW switchboard, and the operator told me there are currently over 400 people in the queue. She offered to transfer me anyway and wished me luck, but it just connected me to the All Circuits Busy message again.

I think Disney creates a bad PR situation with its best customers when they knowingly release and publicize info like this. It would have been better had they not released a specific date and time for reservations but just began doing it quietly and letting the word get out via other channels.

I got the reservations I wanted so I'm not complaining, but Disney should have opened today for reservations just through the crazy holiday period and then on line Wednesday for everything past that. Our reservations aren't until January, and thanks to concierge at Animal Kingdom were actually double booked but if you would have taken out us and those looking through early next year, today may not have been so disappointing and crazy for so many people.

It's also booked up for the following week as well, which I found out after calling for 8 hours while other were "mistakenly getting through " on other numbers.

I need to flame! I held on the phone for almost two hours, and was late for work. Why-because I did what Disney wanted me to do, and called the correct phone number and held for almost two hours. I didn't get the time I wanted, and will have to purchase park hoppers so I can have sit down at Be Our Guest, but I know I did it the correct way.

Disney did not make you late for work. And if another line (disney store) is willing to transfer you to dining, then technically that is correct too because their policy allows this. Don't be jealous and hate on people who found a way to not make themselves late for work.

I just hope I am not charged a minute on my cell phone plan for every call I made that ended up in "all circuits are busy". I tried a few minutes ago and was finally able to get in, but the dumb computer kept wanting to spell David "Vavid" and put me on hold. Grr. I called back again on another phone and was able to get in. I was surprised at the availability there was for the first week in January. Seemed a bit more limited. I have a feeling this restaurant is going to be VERY crowded for awhile!!!

Trouble is, how ever it gets out you have the 'information highway'. It only takes one person, one little leak and its all over the DIS like a rash and then it spreads :scared:

Same here. I knew about other numbers to call but I kinda felt that was a bit cheeky. Just over two hours ... not the greatest time or the day I wanted. Then I had to call back to attach my cc number. The joys :rotfl:
