For those who can't get through to Disney Dining Line

Ok, I am going to put on my flame suit here. How many of you who called the Disney Store to get in touch with dining have gone on here and flamed people who used their FP outside of the stated time???? :confused3 :rotfl:
 
I called the disability line and got right through. I felt so guilty, but wa desperate after 2 hours of busy signals. I told the CM from dining that I felt guilty, but she was very nice and said you have to do what you have to do to get through...dont feel guilty. I got a reservation for Nov. 19th. at 4:45. We totally wont be hungry since we have a lunch reervation at 12, but oh well...we're in :lmao:

Really???? Desperate just doesn't seem to fit what you did. There's a disability line for a reason and I don't think being "desperate" for a reservation is a disability. But surely you got your ressie when someone who may have really needed that line did not get through. Unbelievable!!!!! Seriously, if I sunk so low to do that, I sure as heck wouldn't post it online and admit to it!!!!!!!:sad2:
 
I don't see the huge deal here. I'd liken it to the short line at the stores...it's perfectly acceptable to use the short line but nobody wants to because they think it's a fluke. Disney obviously had enough people working to re route them to the dining line. Perhaps the real reason nobody could get through was that the automated line for making ADR's at BOG took longer to finish per caller. I called today and Anthony put me through immediately to dining. I had the sweetest lady make my reservation and I didn't feel guilty about it Thanks OP for sharing this information.:)

For the record, I've called the Disney store for something related to them and they've put me through to other areas for help. I don't see the problem here, it's not the 911 line.

I have a disability but chose not to use the disability line.
Calling for a reservation was not something that was affected by my disability.
 
I got through the regular Disney Dining Line at 7am and there was absolutely nothing available for the ten day period we are there in Nov/Dec for BOG for dinner. Does not seem like they dumped any reservations or there would certainly be a availability as not everyone would know to recontact them with their credit card to guarantee their reservation.

Just a heads up for you all that might be on hold right now

They DIDN'T dump them - when they realized what a nightmare that had been created, and how much extra work on them, they said those that had not given there CC# would not be dropped from the system. Also, think they realized everyone would not have gotten the word, and there would have been a whole bunch of upset people, especially it they had their conf# in hand for the correct time at the restaurant and still couldn't get in!!!!!!!!!

It wasn't the guest's fault, it was their fault. They fixed the line and put it back in service - now asks for the cc#.

Of course, this was after I waited again for an hour on the phone and did give my cc# :crazy2:
