How long after closing until the points were available for you to book a vacation? We're at 15 days since closing, and I'm getting antsy! We purchased at our same home resort and same use year; deed was recorded 12 days ago. I'm checking online every day and the points aren't appearing yet.

My deed was recorded 1/12/16, I was told by the title company to not call Disney asking about my points and that it would take 12-14 business days :(

It should be any day now. Keep in mind that Member Accounting is currently also very busy with dues.

Also one CM will enter the contract and a couple of days later a different CM will load the points.

:earsboy: Bill

I closed December 8. Deed recorded December 9 and points loaded December 15. Same resort, same use year.

I closed on 12/30. I just tried calling to see if they would give me the number (because I saw people have had success with that) but they told me it would come in the mail. This is my first contract.

we also closed on 12/30. Our points were loaded in the system 1/12 (we were already existing DVC members). we have not received our letter yet.

Posting here must have brought me pixie dust! Points appeared on my account online yesterday and I booked my trip right away! Haven't received anything in the mail yet. So, points were available 16 days post closing and 12 days after the deed was recorded. Overall, I would say purchasing resale for the first time was an easy and positive experience.

My deed was recorded on 1/4 and I'm still waiting for the letter. This is our first purchase so I don't have an account yet.

My deed was recorded 1/13 and the wait is terrible. It's my first contract and I am watching flights daily. I want to grab a great deal but need to know I will be able to reserve a villa first.

Closing, deeds being recorded, points being added........... what does all that mean (LOL)? My contract was submitted to Accounting on 12/30 for estoppel. As of this writing, *** has only received estoppel information back one time since January 1st (1/12); the latest contract where the estoppel information was received was submitted on 12/18. I can only assume they are running several weeks behind due to the time of year (maintenance fees). I am still dreaming of a 2016 DVC trip.
