Sarah Ban Breathnach (author of Simple Abundance) calls St. Valentine the Patron Saint of Disappointment.
When I was single I imagined everyone in the world was having the most romantic V day, but me! Now that I am married, I realize (of course) how ridiculous that notion was.
Just so everyone knows my plans today:
Drop off DS at preschool (finished valentines and cookies last night)
Help my mom (she just moved into a new house)
pick up DS- go home and clean
Go with DH AND DS out for pizza-come home and go to bed (DS still sleeps with us).
I specifically told DH not to buy me anything- put the money in our "Disney envelope", if you must!
Instead of buying him a silly card or candy that he won't eat (he's a bodybuilder), I think I will write him a letter and tell him how much I love and appreciate him.
If you are single, dont' be like me! Don't wait to live your life! Things are not "wasted" if it is just for you! '
Buy that house! Go on that dream vacation that you're "saving" for your honeymoon! Eat off of your good china and if you don't have any, why not?
Have a great valentine's day make yourself a great dinner for two- you and you again (also advice from Sarah).
