For those that go yearly, how many days do you think are enough for your vacation?

Now I know most will say they would love at wdw if they could but realistically, how many days do you think are enough for your family to feel they had a fulfilling vacation?
We go every year usually staying 7 nights 8 days and might do a 4 night 5 day to save money and a bit nervous about it.
We don't need to go to Hollywood studios. We usually only go for 2 or 3 rides and then leave.
Normal routine is 1 day animal kingdom and split rest between Epcot and mk. We normally do a park hopper but thinking about base tickets which might hurt even more than the 2 day cut.

Our first trip was 6 nights 5 days and we found it was shorter than we would have liked. I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to return and crammed as much in as possible- leaving no time to relax....

I fell in love with the mouse and our past two trips have been for 10 days each and that was a great amount of time to be able to see all we wanted and still give time to relax at the resort.

We became DVC members and now are planning on 7 night trips which I am slightly worried will feel rushed but I also know we will be back three if not four times in a year's span.

With that said- if your budget this year allows for five days- do it! Five days is better than no days. Find time for the parks and time to relax. Have a great trip!

I think at least six nights for us. We usually drive 20+ hours to get there though. I don't think we'd be able to give up Park Hoppers. That being said, any time at Disney is better then no time at Disney!:earboy2:

We are also thinking about driving. It should take us about 22 hours. Have you driven before?

We go every August. Started with a 6 day / 5 night trip and we were hooked... this year is going to be 2 nights BC followed by 13 nights POFQ free dining! The free dining really helps it work for us, and the moderate resort is reasonably priced (plus the FD is the regular DDP because it's a moderate resort). So, as long as we continue to get a good bounceback and decent flight prices (thank you southwest!) we will likely make it 2 weeks each August! Even when we do a Disney Cruise, we try to add on several days at the parks/ resorts. But I agree with OP ... I'd live there if I could:-)
3 days MK
3 days Epcot
2 days DHS
1 day AK
5 resort days mixed in
travel day home

We have been going at least every other year for over 30 years. I went in Sept. of 2013 for my every 2 years with my son and DIL, then went again in April of 2014 for 3 nights/4 days split stay one night Pop and 2 nights Boardwalk Villas for my birthday. Went back in Sept. for F&W for 4 nights/5 days split stay 2 nights POR Riverside 2 nights OKW. Am going May 10-15 split stay 2 nights Animal Kingdom, 3 nights Boardwalk Villas. The last 3 trips have been solo and even though they were short I didn't feel rushed. I'll admit I wish I had one more night for F&W because I had 2 or 3 seminars and they took up most of my Epcot time. Usually as long as I get 1/2 day at AK, 1/2 day at MK and a day at the studio and a day at Epcot I'm good. I drive down and usually get there around 2 or 3 pm so I get half day on travel day and don't leave until around noon on the last day. When going solo I don't feel pressured to ride as many rides and tend to go to shows and just spend my time taking it easy and enjoying my resorts. I hope to do some resort tours this time.

Hey there! We typically do anywhere from 10 - 14 days. We spend the first half just enjoying resorts, restaurants, Downtown Disney, etc. and the second week is all parks. And honestly, we still leave sad and feeling like it wasn't a long enough trip. We cherish our family trips and look forward to each as if they were our first! Enjoy!!!!!!

I am prone to longer trips. I think the shortest trip for me would be 8 nights. Since plane tickets are so expensive and park tickets with more days are cheaper per day, longer trips seem to be a bigger bang for the buck. We became DVC members, so the lodging has already been paid for. We go every year and are planning a 14 night stay this August.

Maybe it's b/c we are new to DVC.. But have been to WDW and DL many times..
We fine As our children our getting older and DH is working more hours.
We need a at least 7 night/8 days. We fly in from mass.

We usually go for 7-10 days. We have just started to go yearly so most of the days were park days, but this time around we'll add in resort days and DTD to see what Disney has to offer besides the parks. We will still have park days, just not a park everyday of our trip.

Edited for autocorrect

10 nights , though we've done 7,8,9 ocassionally, as well but most usually , 10 nights are good. so far, we still do parks each day. I think we'd need more days for a totally non park day, lol.

I think 7 nights is good. I've done 9 nights and I was ready to go home by then.

Went for 13 in September and LOVED the time. Going again for 14 days in September and 7 days in March (I'm worried the trip in March is going to feel too short compared to how we were spoiled in September) I always feel sad when I leave and always feel the vacation "wasn't long enough"

We are DVC members and have done 6 night trips for the past 4 or 5 years. Our last trip we had to shorten to 5 nights and it did feel a little short. We ended up skipping Hollywood Studios on that trip, and that did help. We always plan 2 days at MK and Epcot, so only did AK the other day. Overall we still had a great time and would definitely do the short trip again if that was our only option.

Our last trip was 10 1/2 days & I really though that would be enough. But, it still wasn't quite enough. I'm thinking 14 would be perfect.

We usually do 9 nights, 10 days. We do all parks although we usually have a couple of days where we spend the morning at the hotel and go into the park just for the afternoon/evening. We typically do one day at a non-Disney Parks or Orlando attraction. This time we are doing Universal for one day. I would love to do 14, but that would really be pushing it with work.

We've done from 5-9 nights. We also drive over 20hrs. Would love to stay as long as possible. Never had just a resort/pool day...husband would love it but I can't keep away from the parks!
