For those of you who like Narcoossee's . . . .

we've been to narcoossee's three times, twice we've had great food and service. the other time it was a disaster from start to finish. such is life. my granddaughter really likes it and with our upcoming trip with just the two of us i let her pick where we're eating and narcoossee's is one she chose.

I had the lobster at Narcoossee's in March and it was DELICIOUS! I asked for it "lazy man style" so it was all out of the shell and I didn't have to worry about getting messy cracking it open. I will definitely be back there on my next trip, nothing beats having an amazing lobster dinner as part of a DDP! :cool1:

We also love Citricos. I've always had amazing service and very good dinners. Last time we were there, Johnny Depp was a few tables over from us. Pretty cool!

gelato ...because I was too stuffed to eat anything else

OMG...we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Narcoossee's...it's a must for us. I agree with some of the PP that said it's the total experience...the location, the service, the food. We are big lobster fans so we usually go for that and the almond crusted cheesecake is probably my favorite dessert anywhere. Hope you enjoy it!

We are doing the DxDP in Sept b/c of free dining and so we're trying restaurants we haven't done before. On our return-to-MK-for-evening-EMH-night, I made a Narcoossee's ressie. I can see it doesn't get a ton of love on this board. :)

I like any excuse to go to the GF, and I always thought the setting looked fun. We like fish - and we figured since we're on the DxDP, I can have the lobster if I want it. Our other choices for MK area resorts that currently have available times are 1900 PF, Citricos, GF Cafe, Kona, and the Wave. I get the feeling Citrico's is better, but the Mediterranean menu just doesn't appeal to us completely.

So - for those of you who like Narcoossee's, what did you like eating there?

Ate there twice a couple of weeks ago. Whole lobster is our favorite. Surf and turf is OK but the meat portion is small but tender.

Service is really slow and mixed. Servers act like they have been there so long that they don't really care.

The view of Wishes is nice but a word of caution. People may stand outside your window and block your view. According to the Manager, they encourage the diners to go outside for a better view which blocks your view. Also the music doesn't always play outside.

We're actually hoping to be in and out in time to get to MK to see Wishes. So thank you for bringing up potentially slow service. Maybe we'll just order everything at once, even dessert, and then ask the waiter to bring the check at the same time as our dessert . . . I'm trying to keep an eye out for a slightly earlier ADR, but no luck yet.

The view from Narcoossee's is a good view, Seven Seas Lagoon is an added plus. On our Wednesday visit the food came quickly but the server wasn't very attentive. On Friday it took almost 2 hours from start to finish and it wasn't due to a Friday night rush. Attendance was about the same. We don't know where the servers go, their station is a small area, runners bring out your food, but the servers seem to disappear for long periods of time. I wanted to talk to a manager about it but when we left, the reception area was unmanned and the server said the the manager was not available. It was closing time.

DH and I liked it a lot-I got the lobster and he got the surf and turf-delicious!

Pretty sure they always serve the lobster that way.....I got it that way, and so did the poster who added pics :)

I remember seeing this before about the filet - that worries me I suppose, since DH would likely get the surf & turf. Was it overcooked? Undercooked? too small?

Maybe he will go with fish after all though - that is a large part of the attraction anyway!

I read that the surf part of surf and turf is not the same quality, of lobster as the lobster dinner. Someone here please correct me if I'm wrong.

Btw, we LOVED Narcoossees when we ate there. I say, Gofor it!

We also love Citricos. I've always had amazing service and very good dinners. Last time we were there, Johnny Depp was a few tables over from us. Pretty cool!

Hi, Another RI LOVER of CITRICOS!! Same here amazing service and EXCELLENT food!! We have come to know the chef (Phil) there and last time my DH and I were there in March he came over to the table and sat down with us :). But if Johnny Depp was a few tables away from me,this would be me :faint: !! That is SO COOL that you "dined" with Mr. Depp!! Joan

It's still in the shell in the pics, I had it completely out of the shell. Not one shell on my plate :)

woohoo, yay for RI! I forgot to mention the desserts at Citricos.. AMAZING! The pastry chefs at Citricos are awesome.. I love sitting by the pastry kitchen to watch them work!

Gotcha! I was actually upset when I got my lobster like that. I love cracking the shell and I had to do no work. Everything was already cracked, I just had to cut and eat.

We do like Citrico's better than Narcoossee's but the only truly disappointing meal we've ever had at N's was the surf and turf. I really don't recommend it, unfortunately. My favorite is the crab crusted flounder and the cherry cheesecake - 2 of the best food items at WDW! We've never had a bad appetizer either.
