When Disney offers bounceback, is it for deluxe resorts only? I'm hoping that when we go in Oct. we'll get a bounceback that we'll be able to use at a moderate for 2009. Anyone able to bounceback to a moderate resort?

We were just there a few weeks ago and right now the bounceback available was for 2008, a few weeks in Sept, Oct, Nov and Dec...40% off DVC units, 30% off deluxe units

We have bounced back on our own for 10 years, but have never been offered a "bounce back rate":confused3. Do we have to ask at our front desk to find out about bounce back rates?:sad2:

If you go and do not get a bounceback page in your room can you ask for one?

We were staying at Pop last Sept when got the bounce back offer. Yes you could ask mousekeeping for a flyer or the front desk.

I believe the offer is also on one of the channels on TV as well... we are looking forward to booking Bounceback for December when we arrive next month (Actually the very first thing I intend to so after we check in :rotfl2: )

What exactly is a bounce back? I'm new to the Dis, so I have never heard of it. We are going for the 4th year in a row.... a bounce back of 30% or 40% off would have been wonderful!! Any info would be greatly appreciated.

We were staying at Coronado Springs this past Sept when we were offered the bounceback option. We will be staying at the Poly next Sept with free dining. There was no restrictions on where we could stay, ie value, moderate or deluxe (other than availability).

The 'bounceback offer' was...for guests who were staying on propery this past Sept..we were offered the option to book a trip for next year during the same time period (Sept 2008) and we were able to get free dining. :goodvibes You had to book your trip ($200 deposit) before you checked out of the resort.

We were staying at Wilderness Lodge and booked a bounce back (free dining) at Port Orleans Riverside. They said it didn't matter which resort I booked.

However, I called yesterday because we were thinking of switching to a deluxe and he said- Oh, sorry you have to stay at the resort you booked your bounceback from.
I reminded him that of what I was told and have never stayed at POR.
He looked again and said- oh that is the other bounceback promotion I was
looking at. (:confused3 ) You can stay anywhere that there is availability.

Last September, we were at the AKL and the bounceback offer was free dining anytime in September 2008. I booked WL. I was a little unsure of dates, because I was frantically trying to figure out when the major Jewish holidays fell in 2008 (no school for my teenager). They told me I could change resorts or dates if I needed to, based on availability, as long as I booked during our stay. After I got home, I found out that I got the dates right, but thought I might try for the ASMusic suites and bring a friend for my daughter (2 teenage girls = desparate need for 2 bathrooms). When I called, I could change resorts, but the ASMusic suite wasn't available. . .

This year, I'll go with my 2009 calendar marked for all possibilities. . .

If you are in a WDW resort, look for a clock themed flyer in your room, with the White Rabbit. (It's a round-ish dinner plate size flyer.)
If there is not a flyer, there is a number to call direct from your room. (Either way you will need to call that number to book a bounceback.) I forget the phone number off hand, but I am sure many know it by heart. :lmao:
The front desk does not book rooms. So they may not even know many details about a bb promotion. And you would still have to call the special number anyway.
Watch for the room flyer, or look for it on WDW info channel on your room TV.

I talked to a CM the other day when I was booking my free dining trip. He told me that the bounceback promo should still be in place this Sept. He told me the same things that the other posters have said about the flyer & you can check w/ front desk if flyer isn't in room. I'm hoping to book Poly for Sept 2009.

Does anyone know the dates in Sept/October that can be booked using the bounceback?

I will be next week and haven't booked a room for my Sept trip.

I doubt you can book next week for Sept. When we did bounce back it was Sept and the dates were Aug something through Sept 27. The give the specific dates on the flyer.

That is the 'free dining' bounce back. There seems to be another bounce back going on, and on, and on, oh and did I say; go on? People have been posting ever since november 2007 that they were offered bounce back and I've seen posts like that untill at least march 2008. The dates available for that are a lot more than the 'free dining' bounce back and it is always a certain discount on the room only.

Cobbler; I've been checking the posts about bb offered in december 2007, as we'll be going in dec. 2008. I'm going on a DCL in sept 2009 and plan to do probably 2 nights before that at WDW. So, I was checking to see if they let people bounce back in september of 2008. And sure enough; they did. I don't know the exact dates, but they were during 'free dining'. You should be able to find them using the search option (just look for topics that were opened in dec2007/jan2008 etc. This way you'll know for sure it isn't about 'free dining' BB.
