For those of you who are cooking for Easter. ..

I have asked DD and DH several times what we should have for Easter dinner, still don't have an answer

It is just going to be the 3 of us though, so it will be easy. I notice most of you are having ham, but I am hoping they will decide turkey (just because I like that better )

We are in charge of the Easter breakfast being served at church and will need to be there around 6:30 am, so maybe we will just go out after church. After 3 plus hours of cooking, serving and cleaning up there we will probably be too tired to come home and feed ourselves

There will be 12 of us. My friend is bringing a Honey Baked Ham and mashed potatoes.

I am preparing:

Beef tenderloin
sauteed stringbeans with mushrooms
corn
broccoli/cauliflower casserole
carrots
jello mold
crescent rolls
chocolate cake
cheesecake
apple pie with ice cream

for appetizers:

spinach dip in bread bowl
shrimp cocktail
chips/dip
clams casino/store bought from QVC

Easter is at my home this year.
We are having: Ham, kielbasa, and turkey
Mashed potatoes with gravy
Creamed corn
Minted peas
Maybe glazed carrots and parsnips
rolls and rye and black bread
jello salad
green salad

Lemon pie
hawaian (sp) cake
carrot cake
chocolate cream pie

We have a light supper with the leftovers so I add a potato salad and macaroni salad and half sour pickles in the evening

In my family we always had the traditional ham and macoroni (or pasta as I've learned others call it). We have many Italian traditions. It was a shock when I got married that I learned not everyone has macoroni for Easter!

Easter is at our house. DH and I made & froze 20 dozen pierogi yesterday!

The menu is:
Honey Baked Ham
Pierogi (Potato/Cheese, Potato/Mushroom/Onion, Sweet Potato)
Potato salad
Green Salad
Corn Pudding
Broccoli
Fruit Tray
Chocolate Pie & Peach Pie for dessert!
