I personally have no desire to use it, and whenever I book my next trip and want to eat at places like Jiko and California Grill (to see Wishes), my question is do you think the ADR's are first come, first serve, whether you're on the DDP or not, or do you think they set aside so many spots each time period for DDP patrons and OOP diners? Just wondering. I am just hoping with the increased interest in DDP, since it makes some restaurants that people wouldn't normally get the opportunity to visit more within reach thus making these restaurants more highly in demand than before, that those of us who pay OOP aren't left with no ADR choices. :goodvibes

I don't do any of the dining plans and haven't had issues making ressies anywhere, but I'm anal and make my plans far in advance. Easier to cancel than try to get at a late date.

We don't do the dining plan, and had no problem getting our August dinner PS when we made them in June. We actually usually don't wait this long, but we still got all of our 1st choice times & locations.
Cheers!

I wonder as the OP does....do they set aside reservations for the DDP, and maybe some for walk-ups, and then just so many for those who are not on any dining plan. I think only Disney knows the answer to this question, but I would think they must try to do something like that. Why offer a plan if you cannot get a reservation to eat?? But I am not sure.

I know that Le Celliar doesn't reserve anything. While we were waiting for our table saw numerous folks coming up wanting ressies for anytime that day and they were completely booked.

No it doesn't matter if you are on the DDP or not. They do not hold open anything for people who want to pay oop. If it is booked up thats it. :sunny:

We weren't asked whether we had DDP or not when I made our ADRs for May trip....so I'd guess that they don't hold back any for OOP.
