For those going during Christmas

We'll be waking up Christmas morning at the Wilderness Lodge. We'll start a somewhat relaxing day by letting the kids open their gifts from Santa (left under our little Disney themed tree) followed by a late breakfast at Whispering Canyon. We're planning to avoid the parks that day, maybe do a little resort site seeing, then an early Christmas dinner at 1900 Park Fare. I think I may have to make a call in the morning to see if there are any openings left for a sleigh ride too!

We were at WDW last Christmas, but stayed out of the parks because of the crowds. Instead we went to the Hoop-de-Doo Review on Christmas Eve (what a blast, our first time!) and we were lucky enough to have booked an Illuminations Cruise for Christmas Night.

We stayed at Courtyard by Marriott, ($29 a night thanks to Dreams Unlimited right here on the DIS site) close to Downtown Disney, so we spent a fair amount of time enjoying the shops and people watching. Several times we hopped on Disney Transportation and visited the various resorts to enjoy the fantastic decorations.

For Christmas Dinner we went to the Seafood Buffet at the Nikki Bird Holiday Inn, the kids choice, as they will take lobster over turkey any day.

Plenty to do, plenty to see, no standing in line and a wonderful Christmas to remember.

We'll driving up (2 1/2hrs away)Christmas Morning - it's a total surprise to our DS (4 1/2yrs old) Checking in and heading to Epcot for the day. Though I would love to stop by MK, I'm figuring that it won't be easy w/a little one keeping entertained and taking him there and NOT being able to ride as many rides WILL NOT go over well! So, day of Epcot - no PS that day for us - just eating at "odd" times.

We'll be there for 4 days and will be heading to the other parks different days.

Christmas at WDW here I come!!!
