I thought some people driving from NY may be interested in the details of our drive to Florida. I know I was wondering about these things before we left. We used I-95, except we used 301 around Baltimore and Washington D.C. on the way down due to the high number of vehicles on the road.

Left Albany, NY Sat Aug 20 @ 2:00 PM, Arrived at the Swan Sun Aug 21 @ 11:00 AM (21 hours)

Left RPR Sat Aug 27 @ 3:00 PM , arrived Albany, NY Sun Aug 28 @ 11:00 AM (20 hours)

The total round trip was 2,670 miles. According to the computer on the van (Chevy Venture) we used 105 gallons of gas, averaged 68 mph, and got 25.4 mpg.

I hope this helps someone’s planning.

Thanks.

We're leaving tomorrow. From LI so hopefully it will only take about 18 hours at most. Thanks again!

Great information. We are driving down for 10 nights in October.
