My daughter is there now with three of her friends celebrating their graduation -funny, when I mentioned the temps she said she just thought it was the "normal" hot. Good to be young I suppose....
It hit 100 on Tuesday here in Richmond. Our central air was broken. Older dd and I wandered around Sam's Club and the library for a few hours just to escape the house for a while. A knight in shining armor from the a/c company came out and fixed it Wed afternoon. I have to confess I'm surprised it doesn't hit 100 in Orlando fairly often in the summer. I guess all the water from both coasts makes it rain before it can get that hot?
We were there from the 14-19 and I have sweated in places I never thought I could it was miserable. I can work out Insanely in the gym for an hour and not sweat as much as I did in 20 mins in disney. Mind you we only went early in the morning and at night! I can't imagine being there mid day! We enjoy the cooler months much more. It really seemed this trip that many fellow disney goers were on a short fuse. Pushing rude being downright nasty... Two families even got into a fight on a tram. It was crazy and not as enjoyable as past trips. Towards the end my son just wanted to stay in the hotel pool and not go to the parks.
We went once at the end of June and it wasn't even a heat wave and I barely made it. We usually go Nov or Jan. My kids went in March and complained about the heat
