For Snooze Button Lovers Only

I am another who uses the snooze button every day. DH goes to work long before I get up, so he doesn't have to listen to it, except on Sunday's. I try to be the first up on Sunday's, so I only hit it once or twice so I am not disturbing him too much. M-F though is usually a minimum of 4 times, I love my little 9 minute cat-naps!

I hit the snooze button once. Then I lay in bed for a few minutes listening to the radio.

Just curious how many of you that do this share a room with someone... If so, understand that they might not appreciate it :)

PS - You can add my DW to this list of folks who snooze 30+ minutes every morning...

No, we don't appreciate it - especially if we don't have to get up as early as you do, but we end up being woken up anyway by the stupid alarm clock going off every nine minutes because you people are too lazy to just get the hell up out of bed already!!!

See - I wouldn't be so cranky if my sleep wasn't regularly disturbed by snooze alarms.

Obviously, my husband does this to me. And I really hate it. In 11 plus years of marriage, it still strikes me as horribly inconsiderate.

My alarm is set for 5:10, hoping to actually get up at 5:30, but not ususally getting up until 5:45 or 5:50. DH has never complained about my hitting snooze so much, but the alarm barely starts ringing before I hit it. Now, when he sets his alarm it probably goes off for 30 sec before he turns it off. That is a little annoying. :)

I must snooze at least 30 minutes. I can't just jump out of bed when the radio goes off. I have to wake up to the radio because the alarm sounds like a bomb going off and scares the you know what out of me.

I set my time way fast to catch some "extra" sleep.

I don't have a problem with the snooze (although I don't use it) but THIS drives me nuts. How am I supposed to have the mental capacity in the middle of the night to figure out what the time ACTUALLY IS, as opposed to the time in "bizarro world"??? :confused3

I have my alarm clock set at 5:05. This clock is also about 20 mins fast. I have it on the other side of the room so I have to get up to snooze. I always have it set on radio rather than buzzer. One night I had it on buzzer I got up to snooze a couple of times then switch it to the radio

My DH occasionally comments on my excessive use of the snooze button - but overall, he takes it in stride - he's out of town most of the time anyway.

Generally, by the 5th or 6th alarm, I'm pretty ready to drag my sorry butt out of bed. I don't like it - but I do it.;)

I am a HUGE "Snooze Button Lover". I think this morning, I hit snooze for about two hours :snooty: at eight minute intervals. Who knows why we do it. I'm just glad my DF supports my habit :) !

I have to hit the snooze button a few times in the morning. I am not a morning person and I don't spring out of bed the second the alarm goes off. I usually hit it about 3 times. Alarm goes off at 5:47, 5:56, 6:05, 6:14. I have to use the radio instead of the buzzer (so I'm not waking the whole house up everytime it goes off). I tried using the buzzer but then I wake up having a small heart attack! It scares the bejeebuz out of me! DBF also snoozes a bunch of times in the morning so he wouldn't mind me doing it either. I'd get up before him and he never wakes up to the radio alarm anyway.

DBF does have 1 (of the 3) clocks in his room set 11 minutes ahead. Why 11 and not 10...I have no freaking idea. He also has the clock in his car set to some obscure amount of minutes ahead. It drives me crazy! I never know what the real time is when I'm with him.

I have finally found my own people! Thank you, thank you all for validating me! ;)

I don't have a problem with the snooze (although I don't use it) but THIS drives me nuts. How am I supposed to have the mental capacity in the middle of the night to figure out what the time ACTUALLY IS, as opposed to the time in "bizarro world"??? :confused3

But that's the point - when I wake up I'm so disoriented that I accept the time flashed at me as the real time, so when I finally do roll my sorry butt out of bed I'm still ahead of time. I hit snooze three times every morning, knowing that still gives me time for a leisurely cup of tea and a check of the weather before having to launch into my day.

I love my alarm clock - I can choose alarm, radio, or a specific track on a CD, and then adjust the volume of it. My alarm starts off low and increases volume the longer I wait to press snooze. It's the perfect balance between a loud alarm that scares me right out of bed and a soft one that doesn't wake me up.
