for recent ssr purchasers...our timeline...

i often see 'how long does it take' threads on this board, so i thought some other newbies might be interested in how long it took us to go from soup to nuts. keep in mind that we put down a 50% deposit and financed the balance with disney for three years - don't really know how/if that impacts disney processing.

we sent off our paperwork on/about oct 25th...disney signed off on all of their papers nov 15th ['tho our guide said we were approved before he had the paperwork sent]...orange county, fl recorded deed on dec 1st...and we got our copy of the deed today.

My timeline is exact to yours! My deed came in the mail today as well. Congrats on your purchase...I am sure you are just as excited as I am about being a DVC member.

our paperwork indicates that we own some minuscule percentage of unit 68a - i wonder how many others own minuscule percentages of that unit as well! what unit did you get on your deed?

Hi Neighbor! We own a slice of 69C. I am about a month behind you. Once Disney sent you a copy of the signed papers, did you have to do anything else or just wait for the deed?

there were no more papers - just a wait - and it was a long, long wait - we got our papers back real quick - the congrats letter and approved financing letter came back to us shortly after 11/10 - and we were waiting ever since then.

All I know is this for us. We sent our papers back mid October. Closed the day after Thanksgiving. I see our deed was recorded on 12/5. But that is it. We haven't received a copy of our deed nor our permanent member cards yet.

We closed on Unit 49A on Nov. 1st. We got our perm. cards like 8 days later. We got our recorded deed around Dec. 15th. It was really quick I thought. We were told much longer on the recorded deed and our perm. cards. Congrats to all who are new!!

I got my permanent membership cards about a week ago and just today, a letter notifying me that our deed was recorded December 21.

Wow, seems like everyone is getting their items way before I am getting mine.

We signed our papers on 10/27 or 10/28. Closed the day after Thanksgiving. Our deed was recorded 12/5 (I know because I looked online) and still nothing about saying we closed, our deed or our member cards. I only know we closed because we arrived at SSR the Sunday after and our guide called to welcome us home and said that we had.

I guess I will have to call MS and find out where our member cards are.
