Hey, Carla!

I'm off to nap for 15 minutes before nursing again...I swear someone forgot to tell Elie that she's supposed to be able to go 2 hrs between feeds!:goodvibes :lmao:

Hi Marshay! Nice to see ya :goodvibes I was gonna ask how the sleeping is now with Elie but I can see you're not getting much. Hope she gets the memo so you can get some better rest. :goodvibes

Afternoon Girls and Mr. Mustard and UJ :)

Carla - Oh man, I just read about the Parm Pretzels and my mouth is watering! I don't think Mellow Mushroom's are up north :( The steak sounds pretty darn good too that you're having!

Sharky - That is nuts about the grilled cheese. Most places will always whip up something for a kiddo...what a bunch of jerks!

Chele - I can't imagine going through all of that...poor Kody

Steph - Sounds like you had a nice nite filled with :drinking1 ,

OB - Wow, that sounds like an awesome spread of food :faint:

Marshay - Glad Elie is doing well...those nite's of nursing can be so tiring though. Did your Mom end up coming to help?

LeeLee - Hope you guys are doing ok

Mustard - Sorry to hear your DD is sufferring from headache's too. Hope she gets to feeling better!

Tat - I loved your description of the thread  You are not mean! And I also laughed at Lizzie Borden :rotfl:

After my fun migraine last night, I'm trying to do things around the house today...focus on the word trying :upsidedow After a migraine I seem to just take longer to get back to myself anymore.

 to all of you today!

Good afternoon Betsy! Sorry to hear that you had a miagrain last night. What is it with everyone suffering from headaches here? So awful. Just try to take it easy today. Don't do too much

Oh they are good. Too bad there are no Mellow Mushrooms up there. I know there is one close to WDW so maybe next time y'all go down there you can eat there. I promise you won't be disappointed!

Thanks Carla  I'm averaging one migraine per month and it's driving me crazy. I'm just glad I know the warning signs and it also helps when they come on in the evening so I can just take my pills and get to bed.

Oooh, awesome idea on the Mellow Mushroom! With the prices of Disney restaurants, we are really thinking about eating more offisite for our next trip (whenever that may be  ). We will have to try it out!

Hope your day is going well!

Oh man that's just awful. I really feel for everyone with the really bad headaches. I wish the dr's knew more about the brain to know what to do to help ease the pain better or make the headaches go away completely. Maybe one day.

Yeah, same here on the off site restaurants vs Disney restaurants. I think we'll either be eating off site most of the trip in December or bringing food with us to the parks. I really hope that you guys go in December like me and Sharky so we can ALL meet.

I'm here to ask for y'alls prayers. Okay, so y'all know that I'm going down to Orlando with another couple in December. Well, Alli (the girl from said couple) has a younger sister that is in the hospital. She is 22 weeks pregnant and went into labor on Monday. The doctors got the labor to stop but Alli's sister's white blood count shot way up due to an infection (or so I'm thinking) so they had to induce labor because if they didn't they might have lost both the baby and Gabby (Alli's sister). Well, they induced the labor on Tuesday. Her water broke but she didn't dilate far enough so no delivery as of yet. Chuck (Alli's husband) said that even if it is a natural delivery the doctors will still probably have to go in and do surgery on Gabby immediately following the delivery. I'm not sure exactly what is wrong but I know it's not good. We are praying for some sort of miracle here that the baby and Mother can be saved. So I'm passing this along to as many people as I can to ask for prayers. I know I can count on you all 'cause y'all are just awesome like that. So, thanks in advance. And here's hoping for the best for Gabby, baby and family.

Carla, we are praying for them all. How scary for them. Please keep us informed.

Carla, we are praying for them all. How scary for them. Please keep us informed.

Thank you so much Chele. I will keep y'all updated for sure. I just texted Chuck and he said nothing new today so I'm really hoping that is good.

Mike, I thought I quoted your post. Guess not. Welcome back! congrats on the promotion and it's great to "see" you!

Wow! Lot's going on here!

Marshay - Elizabeth is just perfect! I agree, that pic of her and Big Sis is

LeeLee - 's to Braeton. He'll be in my prayers.

Chele - to Kody too. That poor girl.

Cheri - Welcome back :goodvibes Good to see you!

Sharky - New ticker = :cool1:

Carla - Hey girl! Good to see you :upsidedow

Hi to everyone else too! Hope you all are well:flower3: Anyone going to be around later? I hope to be :)

thanks Betsy! good to see ya!

Oh, we don't want you banned. Wonder if the Dis filters would asterisk out that part?:rotfl:

Good thing Cheri came back, cause I was about to make a trip to Louisiana to sit on HER! How did you manage to get Mike back? And I think Dan is a lost cause.;)

:rotfl:

Okay, I'm outtie for now. Time to go home from work :woohoo: Hope everyone has a great evening.

TTFN!! :tigger:

Thank you. Does it ever get any easier the longer they are sick? I mean honestly watching them do that spinal tap yesterday was horrible. She is a very grown up 14 year old but it still was as bad for me as it would be if she was still little.

You're very welcome :-] No, as far as dealing with it, it is all about the good days and those times when you are able to do something ...anything to help with the pain. Bean does better if she can be in a dark, quiet place with of those old-fashioned water bag/bottle things with ice n water in it.

It helps that she is so resilient and does not let the condition weigh her down when she's not having an attack. She feels better and just goes back to being her usualy silly energetic self.

BTW, very cool hair your girls have and great that you let them express themselves that way. I need to get a new pic of Kyra up, she just got her braces off and has a vibrant strip of teal in her hair and the tips also dyed teal. Bean is thinking pretty strongly about doing purple hair :D

Mustard....Hey There

Sorry your daughter is having migraines as well.

Hope she feels better soon:goodvibes

Thank you Sharky :-] She had another bad morning, but is feeling better now. She's in with me (I'm home getting over the stomach flu  ) watching Top Gear. We have an appointment with another specialist next Wednesday - we'll see what he can do.

So, DH, myself and Trent met up with my friend and her daughter after work and we went to this HUGE park

This place was packed, but a lot of fun

It was a good thing we had 3 adults.

I remianed on ground and my friend and DH followed kids around up top

I was the kid catcher at bottom of fast slides and spotter on all the HUGE things they insisted on climbing

Then, we went across the street to a pizza place

Now get this..they have pizza, pasta, sandwhiches, etc

They even have garlic bread..this will come into play in a min

I asked for a grille cheese for Trent. They said they do not have those

I said well you have bread and cheese

She said, well just rolls

I said, well can you just ask them to make a grilled cheese with a roll

No, they will not do that

What the Heck is all I can say

Later they bring DH garlic bread, not a roll :headache:

THey could have used that to make his grill cheese

Since the waitress could not even be bothered to ask the cooks if they would make grilled cheese, that was reflected in waitress tip

She got about 8%.

She lucky she got anything

Sounds like the park was a blast and good call staking out the bottom of the slides ;) What a bummer about the uncooperative waitress. I know they don't make very much money, but still they need to remember the "service" part of food service. Good call on the low tip.

hola lifers and lovers!! :lovestruc

I'm going ot the beach tomorrow!! :dancer: woot woot.. we decided we are going to head to the sanoma coast like Auntie said.. and just beach it up! woohoo! Joshs grandma is going to watch jason.. gunna be the second time this week that I am doing without Jason.. :scared1:

Monday Josh and I went to the Grad (a country bar/club on certain nights in davis) and we went with this one girl I dont really know and this other girl ive known since I was knee high to a grasshopper.. I used to bowl with her.. it was alot of fun! it was the first time since ive had jason that I have been able to go to the bar.. Amy (the bowling girl) taught me some of the line dances and the other girl I cant remember her name bought me a bunch of drinks.. she got me a KGB.. not sure what was in it but it was really sweet and tasted like pineapple juice. then a shot of patron and that was nasty! then a spiced applesauce or something like that.. it was another shot.. and a different shot called a butter nipple.. i didnt really like that.. and everything she was drinking she made me taste and share if i liked it.. so i had about 3/4 of her long island and most of her jack and coke.. shes the kind of person that gets a drink, takes a sip, and passes it on.. and I had green beer.. its gross.. but i dont like beer..

Cache Creek called me and Friday I go in for my tribal gaming license appointment and to get fitted for my uniform! :dancer:

Josh and I started packing today and I deciede we have too much crap.. Josh packed 10 boxes and it really doesnt even look like we made a dent in the bedroom.. good thing its the only stuff we have to pack!

ANNNNNND Walmart sent my Twilight movie today! :woohoo: and they lowered the price online so i got a $5 refund! woo hoo..

and on top of that I have the cutest baby boy ever! :goodvibes he's started cooing and smiling alot.. it is the cutest thing ever!

Wow, sounds like you've had a lot going on! Hope the beach is fun and sunny. The night at Grad sounded like a fun-filled night of drink experimentation. My DW loves rum/pineapple combos - her fave is something called a Barbie Doll, which is of course pink and has a couple types of rum and fruit juices. Oh, and I never drink the green beer - unfortunately they always use the cheapest beer for it :sad2:

Have fun with the new job and the packing. It is amazing how much stuff you realize you have when you have to box it up. Cute wee one? Well give him a good zurbert for me. My older DD does not allow them anymore and I'm sure Bean will be saying the same thing soon enough :lmao:

Afternoon Girls and Mr. Mustard and UJ :)

Mustard - Sorry to hear your DD is sufferring from headache's too. Hope she gets to feeling better!

After my fun migraine last night, I'm trying to do things around the house today...focus on the word trying :upsidedow After a migraine I seem to just take longer to get back to myself anymore.

 to all of you today!

Hello hello! She's doing good right now, just hoping for more good than bad atm. She's actually looking over my shoulder right now.

She wanted to announce to everyone that Disneyland is very fun, especially ToT. Then she smiled and giggled  Oh, and she needed to let y'all know that she is turning 10 in July :cake:

Sorry to hear you had a migraine too - here's some good mojo to keep it from coming back :goodvibes pixiedust: :goodvibes pixiedust: :goodvibes

Hope everyone is having a great day! :dance3:

Tell me about it. It doesn't help a headache that's for sure, all that banging. And it seems that you can sing any words you want to a song, as long as you go along with the melody. I don't know what song Kyleigh was singing, but she changed the lyrics to something like, "My mom is a big fat fart and she smells."

:confused3

:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: I can definitely see her doing that.

shame on her.

:rotfl:

Okay, what does everybody think of this as our family vacation for this summer?

Cedar Point

I know Love and UJ and probably Kimmy have all been there before. I wanted to get the season passes and do a week there. They have a water park and the ride park. Then, I'm pretty sure there's a couple of indoor water parks in the area also. I have to do some more research.

I'm thinking about renting a condo in the area for a week.

Yeah, I know it's blasphemy around here to not do Disney. I just don't think it is in the budget this year.

Does anyone have thoughts on this?

I've heard WONDERFUL things about that place. Roller coasters!!!

I want a trip report if you go! :thumbsup2

That's true. I think its a man thing.

They're a little calmer. But they're still loud. Maybe its just this medicine making me think they're loud.

See, my husband thinks I'm weird for trying to get him to shave his armpits. I don't care so much about his legs, and he'll shave anywhere else, just not his pits. I don't understand why he thinks armpit hair is so manly. I think its gross.

glad they calmed down.

I keep trying to get Mike to shave his stomach. I told him I don't know when he grew all that hair! It certainly wasn't there when we met.

thanks for the update!! I actually just skimmed through it all to get my morning laugh!

Yesterday DD3 had her meltdown...ended by saying, Mommy, I liked it better when it was just you and me. Totally broke my heart.

I do understand why she said that...it's hard for her since we haven't been spending our Mommy time together. So I'm trying to make sure we do some special time, too.

Then last night she told me, Mommy, I do love baby. And that made me cry all over again -- but for better reasons!

poor DD. Glad she said she loved the baby again! That would make me cry too.

Hi guys!

Marshay, poor DD and poor you. She's a big girl and she will adjust well. Kacy and Kody weren't thrilled when Loren came but they adjusted.

Kody is pretty miserable and we did the Kaiser tour today. First her DR attempted to do the spinal tap and I say attempted because I think it was basically a failure. The DR said she was wonderful. Then we had to go over to Vacaville for her to see the opthamologist and have her dialate Kody's eyes and check them closely. She saw what may or may not have been swelling so the neurologist wants Kody to have another spinal tap. This nest one will be done by an actual neurologist and not a pediatric one. Thank goodness because she didn't like the pediatric one at all. He's was really a jerk so I understand. Her DR said that this will be resolved this cannot wait any longer so she is being extremely proactive.

Sharky I am glad that Trent's asthma is better. I think mine is too.

Such a shame that she needs another ST but I hope they can find out an answer once and for all! I'll be praying!

Hi Ladies! Sorry I haven't been around much. Life gets in the way sometimes! Hope everyone is doing well. :goodvibes

Hi OB!! :wave2:

Flight was good - panicked a little on the first - then had many drinks on the layover ;) Good thing I did because I was seated next to "Bill and Ted" on the next flight. :lmao:

Trip was fantastic. I ate the best pizza I have ever eaten. Yum! I don't think I'll ever be able to order Pizza Hut again.:sad2:

ohh, where'd you go?

:rotfl: that must have been interesting to be near "bill and ted" after getting sloshy! Would have loved to be there for that. Glad your flights were good!

And I'm glad to hear the whole trip in general was enjoyable. I'm sure the break away from the kiddos was nice. :goodvibes Where did you get the pizza from? I order from Mellow Mushroom and they have ruined me from ordering pizza from any other chain.

I have heard of them and found out they are opening one in Baton Rouge. I'll have to go try it!

I have heard of Mellow Mushroom but never tried it. It is on my must do list. Everyone says it is great. We had Pizzeria Uno at the original location. It is sooooo good. We also went to the Chicago Pizzeria and Oven Grinder company. I am drooling on my keyboard. DH has a friend who is a chef and they took us to a place called Giaco. I ate till I couldn't eat anymore. The two chefs knew each other so they kept sending "sampler" plates to the table. We finally had to beg them to stop. It was so good. Unfortunately, I probably put on 10 pounds in one weekend :sad2:

oh so you went to Chicago! Sounds fun!!!

hola lifers and lovers!! :lovestruc

I never did get to say Congrats on the bouncing baby boy!

Yay on going to the beach! I'm jealous!

Sounds like you had fun at the bar. And how can you not like buttery nipples!? That is my favorite shot of all times! Mmmmm so smooth and tastes just like butter scotch! *drool*

I like packing....it helps you get rid of things you don't need/don't use anymore. It's the unpacking that I hate.

And yay for refunds!!

I agree, BN's are delish!

Sorry I haven't been around this week. I kept busy over the weekend. And Tuesday morning I woke up with pain in my wrist. I went to the Dr. yesterday and he said it was tendonitis. He prescribed an anti-inflammatory medication. I stayed home from work yesterday and iced my wrist several times. It's hurting today but I'm working through the pain and icing my wrist when I can.

2 more hours!

It is ridiculous that they continue to do it when they know they're screwing it up. I promise they don't always hurt like that.
Hey Nikki!

Bill and Ted are most excellent - we just re-watched the first one last month :D Chicago pizza is more like lazagna with pizza ingredients. We had a place out here for a while run by a pizza chef from the windy city - it was fantastic!!! Too bad he didn't have a good head for business and ended up closing his doors :P
I did too! We must have been watching the same channel. A few days later, the second one was on.

I was invited to go to Buffalo, NY to try the pizza there. Apparently they're also known for their pizza.:confused3

We didn't tip our waitress in the pizza place we were at the other night. It was THAT bad. They were literally throwing our food at us. It was a bunch of college brats that worked there. They got NOTHING.
The UNSEEN is sounding better and better!!!:rotfl:
HEY!! It wasn't THAT bad!
Prayers to you both!

yeah, it's good to know this is just normal for DD3.

Hmmm Lizzie Borden...I hadn't thought of her...I keep thinking of Lizzie McGuire...

Yeah, the dynamics have certainly changed...I wouldn't trade Baby for the old way but it's an adjustment, as you say. I assume it sort of gets both harder (Mommy, Elie's taking my toys again!) and easier (Mommy, I'm going to teach Elie how to walk!)...
Well, my sister potty trained me. I guess you can only hope.:lmao:
Afternoon Girls and Mr. Mustard and UJ :)

You too, with the headaches, huh? I managed to get rid of mine last night, but I wouldn't recommend that method for everybody.;)
:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: I can definitely see her doing that.

shame on her.

:rotfl:

I've heard WONDERFUL things about that place. Roller coasters!!!

glad they calmed down.

I keep trying to get Mike to shave his stomach. I told him I don't know when he grew all that hair! It certainly wasn't there when we met.
She's such a brat.:rotfl:

They held a lot of world records for their coasters for a long time. I just can't get on them one right after another anymore. Old age is catching up to me.

Just wait, Mike will be the next one with the ear hair!

Is it from repetitive motion? You must have been doing something too much. And now see what you've done? Bad girl.

Hope it feels better soon. And stop doing that!

I just said a prayer and Bean is praying for them right now (nothing as powerful as the prayers of children). Keep us posted on how things go and let them know we're sending our prayers and good thoughts their way.

Mike, I thought I quoted your post. Guess not. Welcome back! congrats on the promotion and it's great to "see" you!

Oh no, that stinks. Do you do a lot of keyboarding in your work? My wrists were getting pretty unhappy until we had one of our HR people come through who had ergonomic training and I got a natural keyboard, new keyboard tray, raised my chair and my monitors and my back, neck, and wrists have all been better.

I'm telling you the truth...the spinal taps are NOT always that bad. You just had someone who didn't know what they were doing. It shouldn't hurt much worse than a lot of pressure. She wanted to announce to everyone that Disneyland is very fun, especially ToT. Then she smiled and giggled  Oh, and she needed to let y'all know that she is turning 10 in July :cake:

What cool parents y'all are to let your girls dye their hair such awesome colors!! My Mom wouldn't even let me put highlights in my hair until I was 18 years old.

Sorry to hear that Bean had another bad morning with a headache :( <~~~ for Bean!

:rotfl: Silly Bean! She is SO cute. I hope to one day go to DLR. Maybe some day when I'm rich  The plane tickets are just crazy. And yay for double digits in July!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

I have heard of them and found out they are opening one in Baton Rouge. I'll have to go try it!

oh wow...I hope everything goes okay!! Added to my prayer list!

:woohoo: :woohoo: You'll have to let me know what you think of it when you try it out. Mike should like it since they serve all kinds of beer there too.

Thanks  I have an update on the situation that I will make after I'm done replying to everyone

I knew about the wrist already but sorry again that you are having to deal with that. I hope it heals soon and you start to feel better! :goodvibes

Well, I can be. Apparently Carla thought I was ready to rip her head off the other day.:lmao:

:lmao: yeah I really did. But glad you didn't.

I just said a prayer and Bean is praying for them right now (nothing as powerful as the prayers of children). Keep us posted on how things go and let them know we're sending our prayers and good thoughts their way.

Thanks Carla - hope you have a great one too!

Oh thank you both so very much. That gave me goose bumps to know that Bean was praying as well. She is just so sweet. Give her an extra big hug for me. I have an update on what happened today that I will post next.

Thanks, my night is good and relaxing so far. Have a full tummy and enjoying the warm weather with my windows open. Love spring for the cool air :goodvibes

See Cheri? I'm not the only one that's recomending the ergonomic keyboard. Mike's the 2nd to say that it really helps. I hope you are able to get one soon to aleviate some of the pain in your wrist. :goodvibes

Well, Gabby gave birth today and they lost the baby. :sad2: The doctors believe that Gabby will be okay though and has a very good chance that she will still be able to have children. Please continue to pray that Gabby makes a full recovery and please pray for her mental health too. She is very drained as is the rest of the family. They tried to bring her son in to see her today and she turned him away not wanting to see him. Which is understandable but also sad. Thank you again for all your prayers. Alli really appreciates each and every one of them.

Oh Carla, my heart goes out to them. I know that right now it doesn't seem like it the Lord has a reasson for everything. We will continue to keep them all in my prayers.

Thank you Chele. They really appreciate it, as do I!
