Wow, so much to comment on and I bet I forget half of it or better.

I agree that unseen friends is a wonderful way of putting it. We are also each others sounding boards and support team. Not to mention shoulders to cry on.

OB, glad to see you back. I would love to have some good pizza. Maybe Scotty, the kids and I need to eat a Mountain Mike's pizza this weekend. We are back to the races, Scotty hasn't raced since Febuary so it should be interesting.

Sabeking, this is best group of people you might be lucky nough to meet. We are a family all disfunctional and everything.:lmao:

Kody is still a little sore today but last night to her the pain equaled death. I wish I could feel her pain for her. I wanted weep when the DR told me that she had to have another spinal tap. Kody is not a happy camper either. Sometimes I think being a parent is the hardest job ever.:sad2: But also the most rewarding.:goodvibes

Hi guys!

Marshay, poor DD and poor you. She's a big girl and she will adjust well. Kacy and Kody weren't thrilled when Loren came but they adjusted.

Kody is pretty miserable and we did the Kaiser tour today. First her DR attempted to do the spinal tap and I say attempted because I think it was basically a failure. The DR said she was wonderful. Then we had to go over to Vacaville for her to see the opthamologist and have her dialate Kody's eyes and check them closely. She saw what may or may not have been swelling so the neurologist wants Kody to have another spinal tap. This nest one will be done by an actual neurologist and not a pediatric one. Thank goodness because she didn't like the pediatric one at all. He's was really a jerk so I understand. Her DR said that this will be resolved this cannot wait any longer so she is being extremely proactive.

Sharky I am glad that Trent's asthma is better. I think mine is too.

That is so messed up that a doctor working in pediatrics is such a jerk - why did he go into the specialty ...grrrr! But the neurologist should to a good job with it. Is there a possiblity of doing it sedated? That's the way we have to do Bean's MRIs.

I loved those Bill and Ted movies!! But I'm not the most grown up person in the world.

I've always wanted to try the pizza in Chicago. I've seen some of their pizzerias on specials on the Travel Channel and some of it looks so good.

We went out for pizza here last night (I'm on a business trip). It was like cardboard with sauce. We won't make the mistake of ever going there again. I only could stomach one piece.

Hey Nikki!

Bill and Ted are most excellent - we just re-watched the first one last month :D Chicago pizza is more like lazagna with pizza ingredients. We had a place out here for a while run by a pizza chef from the windy city - it was fantastic!!! Too bad he didn't have a good head for business and ended up closing his doors :P

Hi Ladies! Sorry I haven't been around much. Life gets in the way sometimes! Hope everyone is doing well. :goodvibes

Although I don't really qualify as one of the ladies, I'll still say a big HOWDY! to ya OB!

Just another one of those darn "clique threads." Some people love them so much.

We're just a bunch of friends talking to each other. Yes, we have another message board to do it on, too. But its always fun to come here, read about Disney, then catch up with one another.

My name is Nikki and I'm the mean one.:lmao:

I was wondering if someone could define this thread - well done :thumbsup2

I feel for you Chele, having to try and comfort one of your wee ones. We keep thinking we're out of the woods with Bean's headaches, but she has had bad ones the past two days in a row.

I hope Kody feels better and that the next spinal tap is successful and as painless as possible.

Thank you. Does it ever get any easier the longer they are sick? I mean honestly watching them do that spinal tap yesterday was horrible. She is a very grown up 14 year old but it still was as bad for me as it would be if she was still little.

Sharky, Thanks for posting my text!!
I am so glad ya'll started these threads and coaxed me to join!! You all have become my support group!! You are my UNSEEN friends!!!:goodvibes

Hi Ladies! Sorry I haven't been around much. Life gets in the way sometimes! Hope everyone is doing well. :goodvibes

Hi Girlie :yay:

Flight was good - panicked a little on the first - then had many drinks on the layover ;) Good thing I did because I was seated next to "Bill and Ted" on the next flight. :lmao:

Trip was fantastic. I ate the best pizza I have ever eaten. Yum! I don't think I'll ever be able to order Pizza Hut again.:sad2:

Sounds like your flight must have been fun with Bill and Ted :lmao:

Glad you had a good trip with your DH :lovestruc

When you got home, how excited were your kids to see you?:dance3:

I bet a ton:goodvibes

I have heard of Mellow Mushroom but never tried it. It is on my must do list. Everyone says it is great. We had Pizzeria Uno at the original location. It is sooooo good. We also went to the Chicago Pizzeria and Oven Grinder company. I am drooling on my keyboard. DH has a friend who is a chef and they took us to a place called Giaco. I ate till I couldn't eat anymore. The two chefs knew each other so they kept sending "sampler" plates to the table. We finally had to beg them to stop. It was so good. Unfortunately, I probably put on 10 pounds in one weekend :sad2:

Love Pizzeria Uno..mmmmmmm

Oh man....sounds good..all that food

I think you may have missed one or two things.:lmao:

You should.:thumbsup2

All the more reason to start again.:confused3

Who is huhu? Who are youyou?

Just throwing that out there.

I did that too. I think it was the postpartum depression for me. I loved all my kids, but I was sad that I wouldn't get alone time with just one anymore. We adjusted, obviously.

Now, how come you didn't post that picture I sent you yesterday????

Because I would like to stick around here

I really hope they figure out what is going on an fast

Mustard....Hey There :goodvibes

Sorry your daughter is having migraines as well.

Hope she feels better soon:goodvibes

So, DH, myself and Trent met up with my friend and her daughter after work and we went to this HUGE park

This place was packed, but a lot of fun

It was a good thing we had 3 adults.

I remianed on ground and my friend and DH followed kids around up top

I was the kid catcher at bottom of fast slides and spotter on all the HUGE things they insisted on climbing :scared1:

Then, we went across the street to a pizza place

Now get this..they have pizza, pasta, sandwhiches, etc

They even have garlic bread..this will come into play in a min

I asked for a grille cheese for Trent. They said they do not have those

I said well you have bread and cheese

She said, well just rolls

I said, well can you just ask them to make a grilled cheese with a roll

No, they will not do that

What the Heck is all I can say :headache:

Later they bring DH garlic bread, not a roll :headache: :headache:

THey could have used that to make his grill cheese

Since the waitress could not even be bothered to ask the cooks if they would make grilled cheese, that was reflected in waitress tip

She got about 8%.

She lucky she got anything

I'm new to this thread; what is it about?? Curious?? Thanks:flower3:
Anything and everything and all that's in between!!:goodvibes
It has become like family to me. We vent, we cry, lift each other up, straighten each other out a time or too;) give advice, wanted or not!! and we laugh Oh how we laugh. Just go back a page or two!!!

Good thing you can't see me right now. I just got out of the shower.:scared1:

The UNSEEN is sounding better and better!!!:rotfl:

Chele I feel your pain literally. Everytime Braeton has something I just want it to be me in his place. She has a right to get aggravted, frustrated etc... As long as she doesn't let those emotions take over and rule her life, it's o.k. It's a normal part of this.

Thank you. Does it ever get any easier the longer they are sick? I mean honestly watching them do that spinal tap yesterday was horrible. She is a very grown up 14 year old but it still was as bad for me as it would be if she was still little.
I don't know if easier is the right word for me to use. i will say that it's not as Frustrating as it use to be. now i know with each test and surgery we are one step closer to finding the problem and we have just accepted that Shannons Lupus and Kidney failure and Braeton CP, metabolic disorder, asthma, etc.... ( the list is a mile long and most of you know it.;) ) is just life. It is normal because it is our normal. When we just wanted to be "NORMAL" and were so tired of it interupting our life it became so stressfull. But one day we watched a video at the dialysis center when an 18 year old boy said I can control my disease or let my disease control me. He said Just like you have to brush your teeth twice a day, i have to take ialysis. This IS my Norm. Instead of missing out on life Longing for normalcy, for my old life. I am going to embrace life and adjust it around MY schedule.
We adopted that policy and that is all Braeton has known with his illness. He has Cerebral Palsy etc.... CP and all the rest does NOT have him.
Now with Tyler it has been a struggle as you know. But reading your post just brought it all back to me. I'm letting Tylers sickness control our life. Not anymore. Basically our CRAZY schedule will stay the same. But I'm going to have as positive attitude as I can. Thanks CHELE for giving me a reality check!!!

Hey Lee Lee

You're such a good little sis!!!:lmao:

I don't blame you and Hey you still tipped her. I usually WAY overtip. Having been a waitress I always try to think of excuses, like maybe it was just a bad day etc... but I have to say she could have at least said I don't think so but I'll check! yep she's lucky she got anything. My DHs mom was a waitress for YEARS... through DHs sickness as a teenager etc... so he doesn't have much tolerence for rudeness or bad service. He says if his Mom could be top waitress through his chemo, etc, 2 grandbabies dying, nursing her mom and burying 3 of her and her husband parents etc... then Everybody ought to least be polite!! There are times I've had to sneak a tip on the table so we at least left a little bit.
Sorry about the non grilled cheese but the park sounds like FUN!!!:thumbsup2

Good Morning All!

Sharky, that park sounds awesome.

LeeLee, thank you. You always help me to put it in perspective. Kody told me the ther day that she thought that you sure have a lot to deal with. And I told her that LeeLee is strong and I think that she believes like I do that the Lord only gives us what we can handle.

So this thread is now filled with pizza talk! I must have been getting subliminal messages from y'all posting last night because that's what we ended up having for dinner :rotfl:

Sounds like y'all had fun at the park but darn that stupid pizza place waitress for refusing to ask the cooks if they would make something as simple as a grilled cheese. How freakin' hard can that be for a place that already has tons of cheese and bread!? Good grief!

I have heard of Mellow Mushroom but never tried it. It is on my must do list. Everyone says it is great. We had Pizzeria Uno at the original location. It is sooooo good. I thought I quoted you before but I guess not. Anyways, yes you must try Mellow Mushroom. It's fantastic. They have the best Parmesan pretzels too. That really must have been some great food if you're drooling just thinking about it. That's awesome that the chefs kept on sending sample plates to your table. Sounds like a great weekend food wise! I'm jealous! Since Chris was gone all weekend I ate nothing but sandwiches and fast food.

Yummy, I think I may be cooking pizza for dinner tonight.:goodvibes

Yay on going to the beach! I'm jealous!

Sounds like you had fun at the bar. And how can you not like buttery nipples!? That is my favorite shot of all times! Mmmmm so smooth and tastes just like butter scotch! *drool*

I like packing....it helps you get rid of things you don't need/don't use anymore. It's the unpacking that I hate.

And yay for refunds!!

Yummy, I think I may be cooking pizza for dinner tonight.:goodvibes

mmmm home made pizza. Even better!

Chris and I are having cube steaks tonight. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow night though. Steak!!! Publix was having a sale on meat on Monday when we went grocery shopping so we stocked up and got some great deals!

Some Medical Updates:

From Chele: WELL THE SPINAL TAP IS DONE.

From LeeLee: TYLER 4 SURE HAS A BACTERIA INFECTION

Prayers to you both!

Hi guys!

Marshay, poor DD and poor you. She's a big girl and she will adjust well. Kacy and Kody weren't thrilled when Loren came but they adjusted.

yeah, it's good to know this is just normal for DD3.

Every time I hear the name Lizzie, it reminds me of Lizzie (or Lizzy?) Borden. You know the killer?

Just throwing that out there.

I did that too. I think it was the postpartum depression for me. I loved all my kids, but I was sad that I wouldn't get alone time with just one anymore. We adjusted, obviously.

Hmmm Lizzie Borden...I hadn't thought of her...I keep thinking of Lizzie McGuire...

Yeah, the dynamics have certainly changed...I wouldn't trade Baby for the old way but it's an adjustment, as you say. I assume it sort of gets both harder (Mommy, Elie's taking my toys again!) and easier (Mommy, I'm going to teach Elie how to walk!)...

Hey, Carla!

I'm off to nap for 15 minutes before nursing again...I swear someone forgot to tell Elie that she's supposed to be able to go 2 hrs between feeds!:goodvibes :lmao:
