Never met a CHATTY time I couldn't handle

Just to introduce myself - I am a Teachers Assistant in a Spec. Ed Kindergarten room (Seven 5 year old boys have a wonderful (well at least most of the time) DH and 2DDs (24 and 21). DD24 is a CM at WDW - graduated Indiana U and said I am out of here - can't stand the winters DD21 is a junior at Indiana and wishing she was living in Florida.

I'm the senior member of the group, LOL, I am married to a man who has to move every 5 years so we get around alot, now you'd think he was a criminal who was running from the law and about every 5 years when they find us we run, but actually he works for the prison system so he's on the outside and we move every 5 years to build a new prison! So if we ever get in trouble, he builds one special cell so we know how to get out,

Anyway I have a DS who will be 35 this coming month and a DD who is 32 and a DGS who is 5 & 1/2. The DD (32) is better know here as Trentmom, Sharky aka Kelly. So I"m her real life Mom.

I am currently not working because DH was sent on a special work assignment that was supposed to be for 3 or 4 months and it's now been 9 months. We were so sad to be sent to FL, 7 miles from Disney World to live, don't you feel sorry for us? Buahahahaha! We're at the end of our stay no, there's no way they'll extend us any longer so we leave her May 6th to head back to our house in Louisiana for about 4 - 6 months and then we are off to MS.

Hey Cheri! Thanks, we are loving it all! We ran to Walgreens to get soap and took the Golf Cart, that was awesome doing that. We don't have to go out on any main streets from the resort so we were able to get away with it.

How are things in LA, have the storms stopped?

You WIN!! 3 girls who are teens Bless you......how does the 12 yr old brother deal with them?

In my old age I have found that boys are much easier then girls through the alien teen years. Thank goodness my 2 DD have climbed out of the black hole and rejoined civilization And I have survived to tell about it

My DH is as addicted to Disney as I am....life is good.

It took me a while but I got my DH addicted to Disney as well. In fact it was his idea to go with a Disney theme in our new camper. He bought me Mickey Mouse set set, Mickey kitchen utensils, Minnie pot holder, two litte fat round mickeys, the ones filled with microbeads and he's going to buy that decal material in big sheets and make big mickey heads for the back of our camper! We love our Mickeys!

I always have a trip planned

We actually are closing on a house next month located about 25 minutes from Disney. This will be a vacation home for us while our DD24 who works for Disney (and thank goodness she is safe from all the layoffs) will be living there.

I plan on being there for 5 to 6 weeks this summer. One of the perks of having a low paying Teacher Assistants position.

We were just there at the beginning of March. My two DDs gave me the BEST birthday gift. Concert ticket to see Billy Joel and Elton John in concert in Tampa

DH is going next month for the closing and I will wait until summer.

We are annual passholders and pre-house were going down between 3 and 4 times a year even if it was for only a weekend. I am relentless in finding cheap airfare.

We became Annual Pass holders in October when we, Trentmom, her DH and her DS came and camped with us at FW. For the amt we paid for those 8 day park hoppers, we only had to add a small amount to it and were able to change it into resident annual passes. Boy have we got our money's worth. We've been there dozens of times since we've down living down here in temporary quarters. Now that we have been extended another 30 days to May 6th, we will be there a few more times!

actually it was pretty today...and COLD!! I didn't think it was going to get cold again.

Cold, what's up with that? Do you mind warming it up by the time we get back in May? I spent a good part of the day at the pool getting some sun and leisurely floating around the pool.

I went to a Billy Joel and Elton John concert like ten years ago. IT was so awesome. What a great bday gift your kids gave you

Yay for being AP holders.

We have been about 7 times.

Our last trip was this past October. We stayed at Fort Wilderness in my mom's camper(disneymommom on here) with her, her husband and myself, dh and my son. We had a good time.

Myself, dh and son have a trip planned for this December staying at all star movies. Very excited

have not hit DL yet. I will probably wait a couple more yeas on that one. That is a long plane ride and with a 5 year old, do not think that would be fun

Have you been to DL?

My mom (Disneymommom) lives about 5 miles from Disney right now temporarily. Her dh works for the governement and he has to move around every few years. They are doing a short term assignement right now and have been down there since about August I think. She has one more month to enjoy there

We've actually been here since my birthday, July 6th so we are pushing on 9 months now, will be 10 by the time we leave! Oh poor me!

Okay.

Everybody tells me I'm brave when I do that kind of thing to my hair. I don't know why. It's just natural for me, I guess.

I cry all the time. Some of the girls here have made me cry at one time or another. But it was all good. I'm just emotional like that.


I'm jealous! A few of us here (not naming any names) have been known to call Disneymommom (the witch) some not so nice names for how often she gets to go to Disney. We just have Park envy.

But one of the main perks of me being down here all this time, I've gotten to meet some of the girls when they were down on vacation and got to see Cruella here again and Betsywdw again. I see them once a year on our annual trip to western PA which is coming up in May!

Hey anyone coming down in April???? I'm here and waiting to visit someone!

YOu think that's bad, I constantly get cell phone calls asking for an Alicia Keyes who apparently is a bad credit risk as I have all these collection agencies calling me all the time. I keep telling them do I sound like an Alicia Keyes, I don't know here, I dont' know her friends, I can't help you now quit calling my darn cell phone before I call the attorney generals office on you for harassment. I mean come on, even if I was Alicia Keyes, they were calling 4 and 5 times a day and it wasn't like the phone wasn't being answered, I answered and they would not talk, I got really PO'd!

Awesome job and I read back where you are getting a vacation home down here soon, that's great! We were considering that ourselves but instead DH has decided he wants to stay here now, not wait until we retire in a few years. He is trying to get another job, transfer to another gov't agency or something here in FL, the same gov't level he is now and then instead of goign to a new project in MS, just stay here. I sure hope it works!!! Everybody keep your fingers and toes crossed!

I am LeeLee or Leah. I'm 34 have 2 DS's DS9 and DS6 DS6 went on his wish trip in 07 he has Cerebral Palsy and a list about 2 pages long of other complications but he has FAITH higher than 10 mountains stacked on top of each other and has had many miracles in his life! He's an inspiration. And my DH has LUPUS and kidney failure but is a real trooper and has went to college as a graphic Arts major. I only tell you this because I pop in and out due to hospital visits etc... and may post something about them w/out explaining. I use this thread as a support group and have made some Great friends who even text me and pray for me (EVEN TAT sometimes!!!)when it's hectic!!
I notice you like to laugh. Well you will definatly laugh on this thread!!! You will probably cry too. I know I have. But there is always a Good Healthy laugh on here to keep us going!!!!

I'm 34, have 2 DDs, 13 & 8, a DS who turned 1 last month and Baby Ella on the way. This will be our first trip to Disney with my DBF and parents and sister and brother in law... can't wait!!

Sounds like a fun trip and plenty of help for 2 babies!! I like the name Ella!!
Maybe it'll start happening as you're resting!!

It was awesome today. I was sitting out on the patio with my BFF as she had come over to visit me from the Gulf Coast and Bryan had been out all morning. He comes home, we go outside and this is what he had for me, well for us, but mostly for me as I really wanted one of these!!!
It is awesome, gas powered instead of electric so it sounds a little like a lawn mower instead of it being silent, but I love it!


As you can see it is a 4-seater and has the extended top to cover the people in the back seat when it rains. The one we rented while at Disney didn't have the extended top and Kelly, Trent and I kept nice and dry in the front, but Bryan and Steve, well let's just say they were just a bit "damp"

Here it is sitting next to our truck and Bryan is talking to someone in the parking lot when I took the picture. The pink in the back was my pool bag as we were "driving to the pool" in the new golf cart, LOL, now I'll never walk anywhere, hahahaha!

And the other week we picked up a few accessories for the kitchen in my new camper. We are "Mickey'ing Up The Place!"

I live in Champions Gate, which is a little town that is considered part of Davenport, however Davenport is 12 miles away. I can't figure that one out. When you take I-4 to Poinciana, you get off at Exit 58, it says Kissimmee and Poinciana and that is our exit, you go right and you are there in Champions Gate immediately, left for Kissimmee and Poinciana. Trentmom's BIL lives in Poinciana, what a small world!

Golf Carts are awesome. My DH got the Golf Cart at a place called Micks Motors In Leesburg which is about an hour north of here but he had the best prices and the most golf carts in good condition. He has a web site www.micksmotors.com and if you want a used one, like we did, he's really honest! He told him how to read the code number on the batteries for the electric ones to see how old they are as they only last about 9 years and are like $800 to replace them so it's important if you want a used one to find one with a newer battery.

OK study up, there will be a quiz in the morning, LMAO
