oh I forgot to say bye....talk to y'all later!

QM it looks like you are going through the posts one by one so when you read this I'll be gone. Have a great afternoon/evening! I might pop in later tonight.

yeah...he doesn't. But he does have a license. I'm sure he has to, and insurance. We spoke to a lady around the corner who had her roof done by his crew and she said he did a great job and had no problems. She also had said her insurance actually RECOMMENDED him!!

We had gotten his number from seeing him at their house in the first place so we figured we'd go talk to them and find out if they had issues, but they didn't.

well actually...we HATE it. We hate it SO MUCH. It's SO different. It has a FLAT look to it instead of the overlapping look (that's the only way I know how to describe it) These don't look architectural to me. But the package says they are....they are just a different TYPE of architectural. I always thought architectural shingles all had that overlapping look to them.

We are going to re-do the main house (that we JUST got done) over again the right way instead of doing the rest of the house with the new ones. (The back part of the house was only done a couple years ago just after we added that piece on....also it was done by my Dad and Mike so we KNOW it was done really well!)

That is a shame that they sent those shingles and you hate them. It's good you decided to do the main house with the right ones instead of having to do it again or hating it every time you pull up to the house. It will all work out.

It's so hard to believe that they did such a great job with no problems on the neighbor's house and yet they just jumped on your roof and started ripping off shingles without your signing a contract. They must be desperate for work due to the economy and lost their business scruples! Well regardless of whether they did a great job for your neighbors or not, they need to take responsibility for what they did to you and your house!

Yes I am going thr the posts one at a time, lol, I sometimes multi quote but if there is a big gap between the ones I want to reply to I get all screwed up, lol.

I see your light still on. How was your day?

it's that time...go time! I'm headed to the tanning bed again as we just made plans to visit a water park in Baton Rouge on the 19th! :woohoo:

I'm SO looking forward to it!

That sounds like fun. I know there is a big amusement park in Baton Rouge, forget the name now, lol, but is the water park part of that complex?

You and OB need to get together. I gave her Pinky and now she needs to turn it over to you. So you two have to make a DIS meet! Baton Rouge isn't too far from her.

oh, I'm sure you would know the answer then...

how did Trent's appointment go?

She had to take him to his doctor after going to the Well Clinic as he has had the virus too long for them to do anything. The doctor wanted a urine sample but he wouldn't cooperate because he feels so bad and everything hurts. Kelly will give all the details later I am sure but he has to get some nourishment into him or he'll have to go to the ER and get an IV and he won't like that. She gave him some pedialyte and though he doesn't like it, she told him drink this or we'll take you to the hospital and they'll put it in you with a needle and he cried cause he didn't want that so he reluctantly started to drink so, so hopefully that nourishment will give him some strength back and he won't be so lethargic. The good news was they were worried about appendictis but they ruled that out, thank God!

like I said, I use my timer too. :goodvibes

good plan!

I had a hard time last night falling asleep without the TV :scared1: but I did eventually fall asleep and slept well once I did.

I think I had detention ONCE...for tardies or something stupid like that. And I didn't show up!

I can't remember what mine was for but I did show up, lol, I was too scared not too.

I'm exactly 100 posts behind Carla (in this thread)

well....now 99 LOL

You two are running pretty close on posts! You'll be ahead of her in no time if she doesn't come post huh? :rotfl2:

Oh poor litle guy. No he would not enjoy an IV. I hope everything is okay.

oh my goodness!!!

Like Nikki said before, when is someone going to have GOOD news?

I'm SO sorry about your coffee pot and especially the TV!

Hope you feel better too

You are both so right, we need some happy news here on our thread. There's been too much bad news and sad news.

Thanks for the get well wishes, hopefully this medicine will start kicking in. Guess I should get my butt up and go take my dose that AI should have taken a while ago, oops! :confused3

hey..I get picture messages...and any other kind of messages too!

:rolleyes1

I'm waiting...

It will interrupt my sleep if it's on at night but I usually have the TV on with the sleep timer set before I go to bed. We will set it for 20, 30, or 40 minutes depending on what we are watching and how tired we are. Sometimes I will get into a program and be more awake and off goes the TV with the timer--then I have to grab the remote and turn it back on. I liked my old TV when I was a teenager living at home still---its timer would give you a warning when it was about to turn off. That way if I was still awake I could just turn the sleep timer to a higher amount of time again. And here I have a freaking brand new flat screen TV and it doesn't even warn me when it's about to turn off. :headache:

Sometimes technology doesn't make sense.

Okay, you SO were not asking for that big long explanation, but I sure gave it to ya. :rotfl:
My TV, before it fried that is, used to flash that you had a few minutes left and the timer was going off so if I was still awake and watching something I would grab the remote and reset the timer before it went off. I can't believe your new one doens't do that. Kelly's bedroom TV is newer and it doesn't have a timer at all, that sucks!

well that was mean. :rotfl2:

did no one else catch that? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

congrats on 6000!!!! :banana::banana::woohoo::woohoo::yay::yay:

I never played any instruments. Except my voice. I sang in the choir in Junior High (or middle school if you'd rather call it that)

drumming sounds like so much fun though!

Shhh you weren't supposed to draw attention to the sarcasm there, LOL :rotfl2:

And yea Tat, congrats on the 6000th post! I meant to mention that and got to answering something else in your post and forgot! Sorry :cutie:

oh I have that problem with my laptop too...only I think it's because I accidentally touch the mousepad thingie (what do you call that?) when I am typing. It hasn't happened as much lately--maybe I'm getting better? :confused3
You know I think that is what happens with my laptop, I think I rest my hand on the mouse thingy and also I have a 2nd set of clicker pads for the mouse up by the space bar so I'm probably hitting them and all and that is what is screwing all my typing up. I never had this problem with my other laptop though.:confused3

Good morning everyone! Today is my "Friday" and it's jeans day so I'm having a pretty good day so far. Despite the fact that my roof is completely different than the back part of the house and it's ugly. But at least it's not bare.

For breakfast today was a donut...and now someone brought me a chicken biscuit from Chick Fil A! I feel like such a pig...

I used to love casual day but we only ever had it on Friday, jeans and tennis shoes. So you get to do it on Thursday and Friday but tennis shoes on Friday, that's nice. Is this only in the summer or year round?

oh I forgot to say that we get to wear jeans to work every Thursday this summer! Just can't wear tennis shoes like we do on Fridays with our jeans.

It's very exciting! Makes the weekend seem that much closer when I do have to work on Friday. And it gives me a jean day on the weeks where I'm off Fridays. I love jeans!

I always felt that I could do a better job at work when I was able to be dressed comfortably, I love those days! I miss them too, I want a job again, wahhhhh! :sad1:

Oh bummer that you didn't get to stay long. Stupid power outage!

You're right. It could be. I will have to check it out.

:lmao::lmao: that's a great idea for a thread!

You dont' realize how dark it gets in those indoor mall buildings until there is a power outtage, it was weird as you couldn't see hardly anything in there! By the way the Belz Outlets are in a mall type setting, lol.

Thanks for the update on OB. I was wondering since I hadn't seen her on Yahoo in a couple of days.

Thanks for the update on LeeLee. That's great on the dialysis at home! Bummer about her and Tyler being sick tho

I knew about all of this already but I will give you a  anyways! Hope everything gets better!!

Your welcome, we have to keep tabs or on friends here because we worry whoever is missing and if we dont' have any info as to why.

Sorry to hear you are still so sick QM. I hope those scripts start kicking that cold's butt!!

Also sorry to hear about the scary storm. I hate storms like that! Totally freak me out. And major bummer on losing your TV and coffee maker. Ugh
Thanks Carla, I notice that some of my coughing now is a little more productive instead of so dry and deep, not "squirting" as much. LOL, TMI!!!

Yea it sure is a bummer losing our TV and coffee maker and today I discovered we lost our big ceiling fan/light in the family room to the storm as well. With Homeowners having a large deductible to make it affordable, we aren't turning it in as it would just about cost us $500 to replace everything and the deductible is $500 so not worth it.

:lmao: I saw that but wasn't sure what to say.....QM you're so mean! :lmao:

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Hey, Everyone thinks I'm mean, lol, I have to get her back occasionally, she gets me a lot of times and now it is my turn, lol, you weren't supposed to bring it to Nikki's attention anyway, shhhh!

yep!

I was on last night for like 10 minutes and played a word in scrabble (w/ Sharky) By the way, it's STILL your turn. I think we have 5 tiles left. :rotfl: I'm ready to finish that one.

Mike went frogging last night and plans on possibly going again tonight. He was gone for like 5 hours last night and they managed to only catch SIX frogs! That's just miserably sad. :sad2:

It was his first time so I think he learned some things regardless.

We need to play a 4 way Scrabble Game some night. Kelly and I play a lot and she's always involved with a game or two with you, Carla, Michele so maybe we can play together one night!

And why does Mike want to catch Frogs? What does he do with them?

 2 months?

well....they taste like chicken!!!

I don't catch them, just eat them. :rotfl:

they are SO good fried!

OMG you eat them? Now I know why I see so many frogs walking around on crutches its because so many people eat frog legs huh?

Oh poor litle guy. No he would not enjoy an IV. I hope everything is okay.

I hope the pedialyte does the trick as last time they tried to put an IV in him he wouldn't let them and they finally gave up and gave him what he needed orally but this is what he isn't getting right now orally, needs nourishmen so keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer that it works! I don't want to think of him in that hospital bed crying and having to ber strapped down because he wont' let them put the IV in. :sad1:

I have to get my hair colored professionally now. I'm scared to do it myself. It seems to be growing pretty fast now, so if I wanted the greys to not be visible, I'd probably have to get it done at least once a month. That gets really expensive really quick!

Have you tried the root touch-up kit? I think it's made by Clairol. That stuff really works! You get the shade closest to your own and just brush it on your roots and it matches... it is some kinda freaky magic! That way you can go just a little bit longer between colors. :thumbsup2

Wouldn't that be nice. I think Loren's day may be kind of sad, it's the last day for the school. The district is closing four schools due to budget downfall.:sad2:

Aw, poor Loren. How did it go? And I am jealous... I sooo wish we were done with school already. Maybe I AM ready to go back to a traditional schedule!

hey..I get picture messages...and any other kind of messages too!

Be careful what you ask for! :rotfl2:

well that was mean. :rotfl2:

did no one else catch that? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

:lmao: I didn't read it that way!

oh man I had to play "Celebration" in marching band in high school. HATE that song now! Or "We Are The Champions". Ugh!

Yes, those two and also Hey Jude. Every single year for Homecoming. Now I am pretty down with the Beatles but that song irks me every time I hear it... luckily it's so old that doesn't happen very much!

 2 months?

well....they taste like chicken!!!

I don't catch them, just eat them. :rotfl:

they are SO good fried!

I absolutely cannot wait to hear what Tat has to say about you eating FROGS!!!!!!!!!! popcorn::

Sharky, I hope Trent is feeling better soon. Poor baby. :sad1:

Alrighty... this was just a drive by to get caught up! See ya real soon!

Do you play the piano? I took 8 years of lessons and do you think I can play that thing anymore? I think I know two songs total.

But the lessons were a good thing because I was the only drummer in high school that knew how to read music. And eventually I taught myself to play the clarinet and the sax.

Yep, I play piano...not as much as I like but I still do...mostly for some easy classical music and of course DISNEY songs. I have 3-4 Disney songbooks and Rachel loves it when I play them.

I also played keyboard for jazz band and clarinet for marching band in high school.

I read music...always wish I could improvise.

yep!
Mike went frogging last night and plans on possibly going again tonight. He was gone for like 5 hours last night and they managed to only catch SIX frogs! That's just miserably sad. :sad2:.

Frogging ... as soon as I saw that I had to take a look again at where you guys live ... and that explained a lot!!

That sounds like fun. I know there is a big amusement park in Baton Rouge, forget the name now, lol, but is the water park part of that complex?

You and OB need to get together. I gave her Pinky and now she needs to turn it over to you. So you two have to make a DIS meet! Baton Rouge isn't too far from her.

yeah Dixie Landings. The water park was actually there first. It's called Blue Bayou. We'll be doing the water park during the day time and then when it closes we'll be at Dixie Landings doing the regular rides

I'm SO looking forward to it!

She had to take him to his doctor after going to the Well Clinic as he has had the virus too long for them to do anything. The doctor wanted a urine sample but he wouldn't cooperate because he feels so bad and everything hurts. glad he drank the pedialyte and NO appendicitis!

I always felt that I could do a better job at work when I was able to be dressed comfortably, I love those days! I miss them too, I want a job again, wahhhhh! :sad1:

yes, just this summer. I hope they continue it every summer! (or at least every summer while I'm there)

We need to play a 4 way Scrabble Game some night. Kelly and I play a lot and she's always involved with a game or two with you, Carla, Michele so maybe we can play together one night!

And why does Mike want to catch Frogs? What does he do with them?

yeah! I was just saying that...can't remember if I mentioned to Carla or Kelly though

OMG you eat them? Now I know why I see so many frogs walking around on crutches its because so many people eat frog legs huh?

yeah...frog legs are good!

:lmao: I had to read that twice! :rotfl:

Oh gosh. Keep us up to date okay. Poor Trent.

poor Trent...

oh no....thank Goodness Steve said he can fix the pipe!

oh the horror...no doing dishes, my favorite

:rotfl2:

will you be eating out a lot? ;)

you can definitely do that in some areas around here too!

Thanks!

wait so you couldn't just close the TOILET? Were they that smart/strong to open the toilet up?

no they were not special brownies unfortunately. :rotfl:

oh no....I already knew this but I'm sorry that he's so sick. Glad you got him to wake up for a bit this morning.

Hope the dr's goes well!

I wish we had a clinic at our Walgreens.

Thanks CHele and Cheri

I will post an update on Trent in a separate post

But he is doing a ton better...Thank god :goodvibes

oh I forgot to say that we get to wear jeans to work every Thursday this summer! Just can't wear tennis shoes like we do on Fridays with our jeans.

It's very exciting! Makes the weekend seem that much closer when I do have to work on Friday. And it gives me a jean day on the weeks where I'm off Fridays. I love jeans!

Oh how cool

I knew about all of this already but I will give you a  anyways! Hope everything gets better!!

I'll PM you when I'm done catching up here. I've been meaning to post it on RB but I keep forgetting.

Sorry to hear you're headache is back :( I hope you feel better soon so you can enjoy your vacation headache free!!

tghanks girl..I appreciate it :goodvibes

I've cought a few episodes of that and I think it's hilarious! From the last episode I watched I was upset at who she let go. The guy with the blonde and black Mohawk? Can't remember what they called him but he seemed sweet. I hated the tattoo on his eye tho. Bleh!

Glad you were able to stay home with Trent and glad he's starting to show more improvement. Hope you can get him some meds!

She was but that was around Memorial weekend when I was down there. I thought she was back already.

Thanks girl. On our way to recovery I hope :wizard:
yep!

okies girl...will take my turn

LIke carla said...our scrable game has been going on for over 2 months now :rotfl2:

I had no idea you ate those frogs.

Thought it was something guys did for entertainment

Oh poor litle guy. No he would not enjoy an IV. I hope everything is okay.

He's doing a lot better, thank God! I was so worried about him. Kelly is on now so she'll give you all more details!

Thanks to everyone for their good wishes and prayers for Trent to get better! :grouphug:
