aww Nikki you are sure going through a lot, I am so sorry, am keeping you in my prayers. I know how much pain that leakage is causing you as my niece, which I told you about, is going through the same problem. She had an appt. the other day at Jefferson Hosp in Philly and I don't know yet if they did a blood patch or were able to fix her up either. I feel awful for both of you!

I know how you feel about your kid neglecting your farm. I hired a farm hand, otherwise known as Farmer Kelly and I got on last night and all my raspberries had withered. You just can't get good help these days!

How is she doing now? Did she ultimately get the blood patch? That is such a painful procedure, I hope they got it stopped without having to go that route. With me, since I had one that didn't work before, they didn't do that for me. They put some stitches in the dura (outside covering of the spinal cord) in the hopes that it would stay closed. And they stitched my side back together. Apparently all the CSF kind of dammed up where they stitched and glued my back together so many times, that it just took the route that the shunt which was in there previously took. Which is why it was coming out my side.

I learned not to plant raspberries unless I was sure I could get online to take care of them. They're ready so quickly.

Glad they admitted you though it isn't what you wanted to do, but it was a necessary evil. I hope the surgery did it for you. Iknow I am behind with my posts but haven't been on.

As you know I am in MS visiting Bryan and we've been running around. I put an application in at Levi Strauss and applied for two others online. There isn't much in the way of jobs here so for now will be staying in LA. I don't know how it will work if Levi Strauss calls me for an interview. I can't just say ok, be there tomorrow since I'm in LA. I am hoping they'll agree to a phone interview and then if I pass that and am considered, will try to make another long weekend and come back to interview in person.

I would get an attorney and sue the butt off that Dr. He has put you through so much because of putting that catheter in wrong! You have proof he screwed it up because of all your emergency room visits for pain and addtional surgerys and the pain and suffering, etc. When I got done with him, he'd never touch another person and do this to them!

Oh, and as far as proof goes, I have my medical records, yes. But the ones from him are incorrect. Him saying that I "stated I was feeling better" when I did not. Or if I did, it was only because I had been laying down for five days. When you have low CSF pressure, the longer you lay down, the better you're going to feel. The records are so wrong, it's pathetic.

Took Trent to get his flu shot today

We were in and out quick, but he was not happy

Afterwards, we went to walgreen to get some dollar candy to take to the movies


THen we went and saw Toy Story Double Feature

Hey all.....hope everyone is doing well...havent been here for about 2 weeks.......just so busy........lots going on here......final touches on the house I am flipping.....should be on the market this weekend...
final touches on my basement......hooked up the surround sound system late last night...have a 50" plasma on the wall!!........My stepson came downstairs last night and said " I am never going to leave this basement".......it made me feel good!!!!! I'm going to take some photos and will post them here.....

Bad news...my DS16 moved out on me.....its killing me.......He is driving now and I have been contacted by the police about his driving several times.....so I have taken his car and cell phone away several times......A few weeks back I was called by the school police officer (yes they have a city cop at the school all day, every day) he was at some kids house trying to get in a fight with him.....the school had them both in the office for 45 minutes talking it out.....so I took the car and cell phone away again......the next day I came home from work and he left his house key and car keys on the counter....cleared his bedroom out......moved to his moms.....Of course my ex told me she wouldnt take his car or phone away...said I was using those things as a tool.........D A M N straight skippy.....those things are priveleges........Well, found out this week they went out and bought him a car.....got him a cell.........nice huh?? I am furious......my son wont even talk to me, always is "out" when I call.......I found out he his failing trig. in school.......his mom says "some kids just arent good at math".....so I guess he doesnt even have to try......just fail at it......
I saw him at the football game friday, he just turned and walked the other way...he is dressing like a little hood rat now.......makes me sick.....
Sorry to dump all this on you all.......just venting.....hurting........

Seriously, that's exactly how the buses are. And that's putting it mildly. Not to mention the waiting. Have I ever mentioned this little problem I have with patience? Although I don't necessarily agree that you only get those things on the ride back to the hotel. Plenty of loud, obnoxious, stinky people in the morning.

I never get around to texting until later and it's an hour earlier here so t hen I am always afraid it is too late. I hope she is sleeping. I did text her a while ago but no response so hoping she's asleep and will get it tomorrow.

It seems like all my posts lately are me ranting or whining about something. Well, hopefully you all like me enough to indulge me, cause I'm going to do it again.

So, I got home from the hospital at about 3 a.m. last night. Got next to no sleep, but my kids were at my MIL's house, so I'm figuring at least I'll get to sleep in a little bit. Not sure what time it was, but pretty early in the morning Joe sent me a text message telling me that his mom kept the kids home from school because they were sick and he was bringing them home when he came through the area. Okay...I miss the kids...fine with me.

Kyleigh isn't too sick. Her ear is sore. Shane has a bad cold, headache, worn out. I'm not sure if its just a cold or the flu. At any rate, he is the sicker of the two.

So Joe comes home from work and cleans some stuff up. Just general like putting dishes in the dishwasher, putting laundry away sort of thing. He takes a shower and says he's going to the store to pick up a few things that we're running low on. I asked him to please come home after he went to the store because the kids were sick and I can't be up constantly getting them things, cooking for them, cleaning up. Maybe I'm neglecting my parental responsibilities, but I just had my skull drilled into on Friday, as well as had my back and side opened up again. I feel okay, but I still need some time. I don't feel THAT good yet.

Gotta love my kids, they let me lay down and take a nap. But someone had to make sure they were fed, showered, teeth brushed, stuff like that. They're just kids and if you don't tell them, they apparently forget. So I power napped for about 45 minutes.

Hours went by, no sign of my husband. Shane was calling him because he wanted him to come home to make him something to eat before he was ready to go to sleep. Shane is the kind of person who eats lots of small meals throughout the day. Probably the reason he stays thin and the rest of us don't. At any rate, this is something that he's been doing for a long time, so he wanted something before he was ready to go to bed. And he was ready early because he didn't go to sleep until 1 a.m. the night before at MIL's. The kids don't sleep well there. I don't blame them, I wouldn't sleep well with the TV blaring and a dog crawling all over me either. We only use her as necessary.

He must have called three times. Each time Joe said he'd be home "shortly." It was getting close to 9:00, so I just made him something. I turned my phone on only to send Joe a message to tell him he was a *insert male body part here* and turned it back off. Shane went to bed, Kyleigh is still up. Around 10:00, she called her dad for something. She went to sleep shortly after.

Around 1:00 a.m., it finally stumbles it's drunken behind in the door. I said something snarky to him and he gives his usual, "I'm sorry." Yeah, BS you're sorry. I don't even want to hear it. So he went to bed. I stayed up a few more minutes and then I went to bed. He's passed out already. I tried to lay there and fall asleep, but I was mad, so that wasn't happening. Then I got a kick to the spine and two elbows to the head. I yelled at him, which apparently woke him up from his drunken stupor and he gave me another sorry. I had enough and took my tired behind to the couch.

So he acts like a freaking idiot, yet I'm the one on the couch. How is this fair? It's getting harder and harder for me not to wish that he was the one who had to deal with these diseases, chronic pain, and multiple surgeries.

Sorry for the long winded rant of a post. I just had to get all that off my chest, and at 3:30 in the morning, there really isn't anyone to talk to.

Nikki, you can rant whenever and however long you want to. You have every right and reason to want/need to do it. I always read your posts no matter how long they may be. OH UJ I am so sorry to hear that. Your ex is using your son as a wedge and I hate when parents use their kids against each other. It's the kid who suffers most. Of course right now your son is the winner in this little fiasco but he won't be for long as he's going to end up in big trouble and then suddenly she's going to send him packing and back to you to deal with the big time problems. You were trying to get him on the right track, you did the right thing UJ, you take privileges away when a kid isn't doing what he is supposed to, any decent parent knows that, you don't reward him like your ex is doing. She must be a real b**ch! First she pulled that stuff on you with your daughter and now your son. Well thank God you have a good stepson who appreciates you and knows a good man when he sees one!

It's hard now and worrying what he will get into next dressing like that and doing as he pleases, failing in school, I know it is killing you. I can only hope and pray he realizes as he hits rock bottom that you were the parent who cared enough to try to make him into a good man.

I called Disney Travel Co. today trying to still add 1 day to our free dining stay at POR......notta, nothing.....We have a night booked at POFQ as our backup plan but I would rather not have to change resorts the next day.......

Also, trying to add 4 people to our Ohana dinner.....notta again....CM said to just keep trying...........

I'm sorry but the phone answering system there is starting to really tick me off........the computer asks you about 4 minutes worth of questions before a CM answers.....then they ask for your ressie number....something you punched in about 5 minutes ago already.........grrrrrrrrlllllll Then they want me to tak a poll ......I dont think so.........

ugh! That sucks about POR and Ohana. I hope someone cancels something and that you can snatch it up on both accounts. I think with the 45 day mark approaching there will be a few cancellations.

And I 100% agree about the phone system. I hate calling Disney which is why I always make Chris do it. I also hate the web site. Disney needs to step it up a notch in both areas. You would think that a trillion $ industry would be able to have customer service that is better than anyone elses out there.
