Yeah, we are late this year, because of how late Labor Day falls this year.

Wow, the 8th seems so late to me. But if I remember right you guys got out for summer later than we did too. Is Trent excited?

Yeah, we got out the 19th I think it was..we had 3 snow days to make up

Speaking of hot... blah, it's been nasty here. The temps are about the same as we'd have in NC but the humidity is def higher. Blech... I hate sweating! At least the evenings are cooling off now.

I still haven't booked my trip. I really need to do it. I think that POR is all sold out of FL res. rate rooms. I've priced values... I'd have to book 2 rooms. It wouldn't be that much more... like 10 bucks a night. I've not stayed in the values before.... seeking opinions on any or all of them! TIA! ;ho

There is a lizard on one of my palm trees. He is cute!

We have the world's largest toad population here (I'm sure it is true!). We have a pond in back of our house and when we open the door at night the croaking is deafening! Tank loves to go outside and play with them on the lanai at night!! AND... last night one came INSIDE when I let Tank in. Thank goodness it one a teeny weeny one and Tomato was here to get it OUT!

I heard that before at the Zoo's. I remember hearing that at the Philadelphia Zoo a long time ago. That will be nice to take SB to visit your SIL and then you can come back, relax and try to get ready for the first day of preschool.

We had a great trip to Cleveland and LOVED the zoo! They had a dino exhibit that SB just I was really impressed!

Yes, the first day of school is quickly approaching! Trent and SB start the same day

I know how hard it is going to be to let SB go and start Preschool. Its that first sign they are growing up and that is so upsetting. That first couple of days will be hard but she'll find a little girl to be buddies with and she'll be fine. That will help with the being attached at your hip thingy. She'll learn to be able to be away from you for short periods of time and it will give you a little free time also!

It is SO hard. If she does ok, I will be doing back flips out of that place I just know how I was as a little girl and I fear she will be the same. We are going to visit the school tomorrow so that she can have an understanding of everything.

Well you can all uncross your fingers and toes. I am going to have to cancel our trip to Disney in September. Bryan is set to start his project in Yazoo, MS on Sept. 14th and therefore he will move into temporary quarters. Once you are in temporary quarters you can't go away on vacation as they are paying the rent for you to stay there for a certain amount of time and you are supposed to be there. He could get in a lot of trouble if he went away and could possibly even lose his job so it is so not worth it, as much as we want to go to Disney. He tried to move the date by two weeks to start when he got back from Disney but they've already got his paperwork set up and so Disney is a no go.

I am so sorry to hear that. I know just how you feel since we had to cancel our trip this past February. Just think that you will at least get to visit NJ for Christmas and see you kids

Good Morning! It's a rainy day here and we are stuck at the house with no car. DH's car was leaking oil so we took it to the car doctor as SB would say.

Well, you know when Disney online comes out with the Halloween costumes that we go into full Halloween mode...IN AUGUST So, the decision has been made that SB will be Jessie and Frasier will be Woody. I found the cutest Woody costume for dogs at Toys R Us for $7.00!!! Now I need to find red shoes for SB to wear that will go with the Jessie look but aren't too much $$ and will be comfy to wear for trick or treating. I was thinking about red rainboots...what are your thoughts on that everyone? I did think of the cowgirl boots but they are pretty expensive and I feel like that's going to be too much shoe for a little girl.
