Kelly texted me from Lancaster and even though Trent is a bit crabby, they are having a nice time. He liked the choo choo barn. They have all kinds of great train set ups in there. He is one she texted me.

While in the car, on the way home, she took a picture of Trent's actual new school bag. It is similar to the one she posted last night but not exactly. So here is his actualy school back pack!

Trentsschoolbag.jpg

He really likes it and it is cute. I can just see him wearing that big back pack on his little back and shoulders, lol. It will be so cute!!!

They should be home any time now. I am tired and going to shut my eyes for a bit and then I can stay up tonight and hope to find someone on line then.

Glad the packing is going successfully! You're lucky to not have to do it yourself. I hope the move and unpacking go well too. I look forward to seeing the pictures you post! :thumbsup2

Those are so cool. I bet Chris will be excited too. He's such a little kid :rotfl:

Thanks girl....

I want Yoda for myself :rotfl2:

oooo very cool! I like them :thumbsup2

Very pretty QM!! :thumbsup2

Thanks...like the school bag the best..thought it was pretty cool :thumbsup2

I even got Trent a batman lego shirt to wear for his frst day

He will be all decked out in Star Wars :cool1:

Marsha....How did DD #1 act when she home?

Was she super excited to see you all?

Actually she was more excited to play with all her toys, particularly her arts and crafts!

We asked what she liked best about Myrtle Beach and she said, "Everything!"

Ok, I got to research some hotels in the Hershey area. We're hoping to go to HersheyPark on August 7th and want to Priceline a hotel the night before.

I can't wait -- this is the longest I've gone w/o a roller coaster!! We usually go to one in May.

Never stayed there, but what about Hershey Hotel?

I checked the two Hershey Hotels and they are $$$$$$. It was something like $200/night. We are looking to Priceline a hotel for like $50-60. Just want a place to sleep for a few hours.

It's funny ... I don't mind spending $$ at Disney, but elsewhere I do.:lmao:

I understand totally. Disney is one thing.

Yeah, heard it was up there in price, but was not sure exactly how high

I am not sure how far away we were from Hershey when we stayed over night in Lancaster 2 weekends ago..but our room was 84 for the night.....still a bit over what u want to spend...but Hey we had ghosts

You got to pay extra for that stuff

Yep, most of the pictures you send me from your phone are very clear. Your phone takes good pictures.

So you got Trent a Batman lego shirt for first day of school, you sai dhe'd be all decked out in Star Wars???? Did Batman move out of the Bat Cave and move into outer space and join up with Star Wars???? :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

That's cute Marshay. I know she was excited to be home but you'll always be second place to her toys, lol.

I love Hershey Park and I like the old Wooden roller coaster. I can ride that all day. I don't like new roller coasters as I don't like all that twisting, turning and going upside down, lol. But I have always loved the Comet at Hershey Park. My whole neighborhood used to go every August when the kids were little and I do miss that. Have a wonderful time!!!
When we used to go Kelly was petrified of rides, lol, she spent the entire day on the swings, lol. We took her on the Comet and she was petrified and never wanted to go on again. Now she goes on all the upside down roller coasters and scary rides and I don't, lol.

too funny :rotfl2:

The Hershey Hotel is gorgeous, very expensive and very very fancy. I never stayed there as we always took a day trip to Hershey but you probably would love it there, especially if you can get it on Priceline for cheaper than it normally goes for!

Hi Mom

Woops on star wars comment

He has a batman legos game and a star wars lego game

so I should have set...he will all be decked out in his favorite games attire

As far as hotels in Hershey, I have one I can recommend.

There's a Rodeway Inn on Areba Avenue, I believe. We have always gotten the extra large rooms with a kitchenette. Very nice. I'm not sure on the price, especially with Priceline, but it is a nice place. Totally not like what you imagine when you hear Rodeway Inn. The only bad part about it was the outside entrances to the rooms. They have a pool and a continental breakfast, too. At least they did the last time we stayed there.

I think I'll take the room without the ghosts!:rotfl2:

I figure Rachel's prioritites are Toys, Cats then Us!:rotfl:

Oh, yes, the Comet!! I'm only assuming I'll get on one rollercoaster so I'm going for the new Fahrenheit one that opened up last summer! That was crazy cool!

Thanks! I will look into that. If we can get a definite hotel w/o Priceline at a good price, then we'll do that. I just was saying Priceline since that is usually cheaper. The hotels in HErshey are all going for $130+!!!!:scared1:

Just checked, $210/night for 2 double beds.:eek::sad2:

Wow! The hotels in the town of Hershey are crazy anymore. Like I said, we always got the big suite with the kitchenette. It had 2 queens and a twin. I don't remember paying that much for it.

You're probably better off getting one in Harrisburg. It isn't far at all and the prices are much more reasonable. Just stay away from the Super 8. Even Camp Hill wouldn't be terribly far, but I'm not sure what they have in the way of hotels.

There are a lot of little Mom & Pop type motels around there that are a lot cheaper, you just have to go out a ways. When Bryan and I went there, we stayed at a little place and it was real reasonable, very clean just not a chain, not a lot of amentities, just a pool, clean sheets and towels and beds. No matter where we go, we always go away from the tourist attraction about 30 miles and find lots more reasonable priced places. Its always worth the short drive to the attraction. Good Luck!

Just checked, $210/night for 2 double beds.:eek::sad2:

Wow, if you are going to pay that much you may as well go through priceline and see if you can get the Hershey Hotel for a better price as that is very luxurious!
