I was shocked that they are so expensive because you can stay across the street from Disneyland within walking distance of Disneyland for much cheaper.

Looking into hotels in the Harrisburg area...the cheapest I can find are, of course, the Super 8 chain. Trust me, you don't want to get a room at any of those. Even Econo Lodges are running in the range of $70+. That's without a AAA discount. Everything under $100 seems to be the roach motels, like the Super 8s, Econo Lodges, and Red Roof Inns.

If you would consider right around $100, there's a Comfort Inn not too far. Comfort Inns are usually pretty nice and clean. I've never really had a problem with them. Also you do get the decent breakfast, which is a plus.

Also, there is a Hampton Inn that runs discounts if you get the park tickets there. That might be worth looking into.

Thanks I will consider it. Right now we were just thinking of trying to save money at the hotel and then eat our meals in the park.

We're only going to get in around 10:30pm at night since Jerry is only taking off on Friday, not Thurs...so I'm thinking, 'how bad can they be?' We'll only be there like 10 hours...(so I say now...wait until you get the HP TR...you can laugh at me then...!)

I know! We got discounted tickets thru my sister since she's a teacher. But we were thinking of adding on another day or even coming in the night before.

The 2nd day ticket is like $30+
The 3 hour before close ticket is like $27.

Really.

Regular price tickets are like $55+.

Our Six Flags is offering buy one get one free. Hershey doesn't seem to be offering any real discounts.

Hi all

We went to Toys R Us and Target Tonight and got most of Trent's school supplies.

At Toys R Us, they had a good deal...If you buy any backpack $12.99 or more, you get one of their $9.99 Lunch Bags for free.


No more Disney for Trent....


His school bag is currently in car along with lunchbag, as it was pouring when we got home and wanted to get right in house. So, I googled and I found ones close to his lunch bag and his backpack.

THen we hit Target...I got his glue stick, crayons and folder


They had no star wars folders..so Mommmy got her way

He picked out a lightning McQueen

How cute, I like them. Now I hope you know we will need a pic of him wearing the backpack and carrying the lunch box when the time comes

You know I see more teenagers carrying the kids backpacks than I do kids. He's growing up Mama.

Good, glad you found them. They are very comfortable and hide a multitude of sins, lol. I used to love maxi dresses years ago and now they are back

Ok friends. I just wanted to let you all know I'm leaving for Lancaster, PA tomorrow morning. We're leaving around 10am (my Mom wants to go to church for communion before we leave.). We'll be stopping half way up and staying somewhere tomorrow night and drive the rest of the way up on Monday. I won't be back until late August 2nd. I will miss talking to you all. Won't have internet access but for those of you that have my # feel free to txt me and those of you on FB I'll post pictures periodically via my phone.

Kelly texted me from Lancaster and even though Trent is a bit crabby, they are having a nice time. He liked the choo choo barn. They have all kinds of great train set ups in there. He is one she texted me.

While in the car, on the way home, she took a picture of Trent's actual new school bag. It is similar to the one she posted last night but not exactly. So here is his actualy school back pack!

He really likes it and it is cute. I can just see him wearing that big back pack on his little back and shoulders, lol. It will be so cute!!!

They should be home any time now. I am tired and going to shut my eyes for a bit and then I can stay up tonight and hope to find someone on line then.

I got a sleeveless one on that first page it is the orange and balck and brown sort of color, high waisted with no sleeves. I didn't like the ones with sleeves either, too matronly looking. I may be old but I still have style, LOL. I tried but it wouldn't let me copy the photo of the dress, darn them

I like maxi dresses much more than maxi pads, lol. But years ago they had maxi dresses and maxi coats. I loved that style and still do. I had a gorgeous black wool coat that buttoned at the waist and went to the ground. Boy did that feel good in the middle of the winter, cut all the wind and cold from your legs! Not that you had to worry about that down here in mosquito country, lol.
